Miracle rogue. I didn't track my stats but I hit r5 on Friday didn't play a couple days. I'm also terrible at miracle.

Can someone tell me about a good shaman deck

I've had better success with straight up Jade packages than any other Shaman build this meta...but it still kinda sucks and I lose a lot with it. Really glad I got golden Shaman well before this xpac hit, I doubt I'd ever have gotten it otherwise.

There's this aggro shaman deck that uses Primalfin totem and Bloodlust, but it seems like a strictly worse version of token druid.

The Jade Nzoth control package uses volcano and White Eyes and spirit Echo and has some potential but is obviously very slow.

The MR versions and elemental shaman seem to be mediocre.

I know it's obvious but it really highlights how crazy strong tunnel trogg and totem golem were.
Shamen is playable at least unlike warlock but it is nowhere near top tier anymore.

Yep. Totem Golem does 9 damage to your face and requires 2 cards to remove it routinely. And Trogg was probably worse; without it,the whole overload package kinda falls apart (I don't think anyone is running Feral Spirit atm). Trogg-TG-FS and the next thing you know, that 1 drop is trading into your 5 drop.

Control Shaman in wild is strong.

Elementals just aren't good. They require too much synergy and have many **** cards. Is it a shock, all the classes that have really good early/mid games are strong in almost every meta. Pally now has insane possible openings along with Warrior which is still strong with Pirate Warrior. Aggro druid can also have insane openings; again it's a top deck.

The best of the control are being "controlled" by decks like Jade Druid and Quest Rogue.

BTW, I spent a ton of gold trying to put together the silence priest deck; jfc it's trash. It doesn't have enough minions to get a good board and most people realize any minion is just insta removed. Is anyone good with it? Do you wait till you have a minion that needs silence + the double health buff before you play it?

Agree 100%, it's almost like they pre-nerfed the concept before it even went live. Also it's been said before but the most popular 4 drop in elemental decks looks like an elemental and is named like an elemental but inexplicably does not have the Elemental tag so he breaks the curve and ****s up my turn 5 Servant alllllll the time.

you dont cast silence on a minion on the same turn you play it

copying a big minion with faceless while you still have a minion on board is always a priority play

consider their removal options before you go all in on buffs

don't waste your cleric

etc.

but think about it -if you play a 3 mana 4/8 that can't attack, literally is worthless, and your opponent dumps 2 cards and a few minions into it trying to remove it - that's always a huge win for you.

it's a good deck. i'm 60% with it in both formats. i made my own wild version loosely based on savjz's standard deck, cut the dirty rats, put in velens, and some other ****. Dirty rat in that deck is a little wtf to me but oh well he's been crushing with it.

Also, now that I'm rank 5, after my midterm is over this week I want to try to start experimenting with resurrect. I'm almost positive there's some kind of rez priest out there, but I think it's probably more likely to exist in wild b/c resurrect getting rotated out obviously. I haven't seen anyone trying anything with that yet. The onyx bishop can still be a broken as **** card.

no one is really playing silence priest in wild, and I actually think it has a positive matchup against control shaman. Silence really ****s them up, and as long as you don't over commit and get ****ed by devolve, I find it surprisingly easy to burst them down. You can test their hand for hexes/devolves pretty easily, once you know they dont have it, pummel them down.

The elementals are understated for their curve. They can't compare to turn 1: Murloc turn 2: Murloc turn 3: war leader turn 4: megasaur/True Silver

Then you get into Finja/Tarim/Spikeridged shenanigans and its a blowout.

i understand waiting for it. but for some reason I'm not sure I have the wrong list but the one on tempo storm I always get way too many spells and not enough minions so if nothing sticks, unless I want to buff their units I can't do ****. I agree that them wasting multiple units is good for us but it also screws up what I can buff and no board = a loss.

i've played it a few times (probably 5) and won 1 in which I got something to stick and killed a priest. i know it's a tough deck. I just don't see the upside of it and haven't seen it much on ladder. I know I'm definitely doing something wrong. I've seen it dominate me when I was pirate warrioring and they were able to build up giant taunts.

just checked; the list on tempo has 12 minions, 18 spells and no AOE--obviously you can get it from Lyra. I found I was getting stuck with shamblers and no decent targets since there are only 5 buff candidates in the watchers/razorleaf/tar creeper; the deck just screams inconsistency to me. Maybe I'm too used to tempo/aggro/control decks that I'm playing this one all wrong.

It's really hard to deal with a 4/8 on 3 mana.

Feels to me that decks are close to being optimized and the meta is tightening.

Decks I thought were decent a week ago are now unplayable.

I was watching Thijs struggle at rank 5 NA playing Miracle Rogue and he said the meta is bad for it.

miracle has no real AOE and no healing; of course it struggles right now. it used to farm pallys and can't do that anymore. i was watching him play this morning and while I think he's a great; he was really rushing things and not saving up for big turns and instead going for tempo, losing board and getting crushed.

yesterday thijs had a hilarious game at high legend; he was playing the freeze/discover mage with medivh vs a quest rogue and was getting worked. and basically dead. from medivh's weapon he got Swamp King Dread from either a flame strike. his opponent had 3 cards and thijs had 4 life. he didn't realize he had it and played a boar, get's insta killed. opponent then plays vanish and then a brewmaster so he could have easily won. a few turns later thijs turns the entire game around but it was really the swamp king dread that owned his opponent. also for future reference if you use Glacial Shard on Swamp King Dread it can't attack your recently played minion including the glacial shard.

Does anyone have a viable Lyra inner fire/divine combo? Is by far my favorite deck to play but it doesn't seem very viable. I always use potion of madness and shadow madness to control the board until I have everything set up but that ends up taking too many slots in my shadow visions. Minions consist only of card draws and high hp ones to use inner fire and divine.

a lot of that is mulligan maybe? you hard mulligan for razorleaf or ancient watcher + a silence.

my favorite game was a control shaman that opted to volcano my board for my 3/9 acolyte of pain, then emoted. I got lyra and all my spells and went ape**** the next turn, he lost obv

you can also buff your radiant elementals, which is pretty easy because divine spirit is 1 mana and pw:shield is 0 mana

Think Miracle rogue has a ton of issues that made it weaker in the past two weeks or so.

1. The decline of Elemental shaman (free wins) and taunt warrior (good matchup), exodia and freeze mage to burn mage were really bad. Paladins getting faster hurt too.

2. Matchup vs Quest got worse. Not sure when it was but I seem to recall beating them with an 8/8 Edwin on turn 2/3 all the time. Think since they all started running shard and vanish it became harder to do this.

3. Getting punished for running 3 pirates as there are Golakkas all over the place, especially hunter, PW and Druid decks.

And silence priests silencing Sherazin/Edwin.
