Pirates or aggro druid should do okay. But then you'll get spanked by other decks. It's really quite a balanced now.

I play a modified aggro/mid hunter, and I get my ass handed to me by rogue and mage and I'm getting tired of it.

Weird hunter is really good against rogue

Maybe it's just variance, but they've been able to the quest card by turn 5-6 lately against me.

Elemental Shaman is really good vs all the Rogue decks

And they should be pretty much dead by then too. Just smorc them down.

That's the thing though, they're able to stall/kill my cheap/weak minions to get to those turns. For example, they'll play that 2/1 1 mana elemental that freezes enemies and play sap/fan of knives/eviscerate/backstab along with their cheap minions to kill them off.

Data reaper has it 36% against quest

That's not my experience at all, I'm usually first pumping when I get a shaman.

Oh wow, that's really surprising to me, I won 9 in a row vs Quest Rogue at R3-Legend last month. Seemed a bit too one sided to be variance, must have run into some terrible Rogues.

I think it might be GIANTS MAGE time in wild. I've been playing an OTK quest variant and mostly not even completing the quest but still winning.

Are you guys running Elise and Lyra in dragon priest?

That seems almost Paladin-level greedy.

yup since the beginning, it's as draw-dependent as any priest deck but you can often get 2 ungoro packs from shadow visions if you get elise down on turn 5

I really wish they had announced the brawl sooner. I don't want to pay for it but I definitely would've spent the gold.

I bought an entry into the tavern brawl but can't work out what's a good deck to play. Built a dragon warrior but not sure it's good. I don't play wild :/

N'Zoth shaman, Reno N'Zoth quest priest, N'Zoth Quest Warrior, dude-adin. Take your pick. Or just play PW and beat up greedy decks.

freeze mage seems p strong

Ended up with 150 gold today after completing a couple of quests at the same time. I decided to try an Arena run instead of my usual path of just straight opening packs.

I went with Priest over Warlock and Hunter (Priest is my favorite class anyway). I drafted what seemed like an OK deck, nothing special - Primordial Drake was probably the best card. Loaded up the first game and got pretty much crushed by a Paladin running a Tirion and a discovered Sunkeeper Tarim. Went ahead and retired the deck at 0-1 figuring if I'm going to play that type of game it might as well be in constructed where I also have the option to include some of the best cards available to my class.

I got an Un'goro pack and 30 gold so I'm pretty happy with only paying 20 gold to get a reminder of why Arena isn't appealing to me at all. I don't regret not playing the other 2 games available to me with that deck. In constructed I think I have more patience for stupidly OP stuff because I know that I'm voluntarily playing a certain type of deck where as the one game I played in Arena felt like "Yeah I probably would have picked Tirion too, but instead my high roll was getting to pick Gluttonous Ooze".

For the record, after I traded 3 of my cards in to Tirion I did immediately Ooze his Ashbringer. Value.

Meh i dont get that. One twelve win run i had was with a deck i thought was bad and immediately went 0-2 with.

Another was with what I thought was an awful deck also but ended up just having the perfect curve and answers to everything I needed to do. You never know.

Then there are drafts where going 2-3 wins is an accomplishment, and whatever, thats bound to happen. It's not a huge majority of the time.

What actually triggers me hard in arena is lowrolling rewards, and the jump in rewards between like 6 and 7 wins.

freeze mage feels really solid right now. This is a list I adapted from Thijs's freeze list he went 12 wins with:



So, basically he has -1 blizzard, +1 barrier, +1 arcanologist

I find arcanologist to be pretty unnecessary in the deck and often a dead card or makes my mad scientists dead cards more easily. It's fairly easy to get a block up, don't feel the need for the extra secret draw. I'd rather have novice engineer. 2 blizzards seems core for this deck, not sure why he was rocking just the one. I kind of get it - with medivhs valet, you're able to control the early game much easier and need less stall mechanics later on. Still am never ever sad with a blizzard in my hand so I went with 2. With all the control on ladder right now I don't feel the second barrier is necessary, I already feel heavily favored vs PW and aggro shaman. This deck sacrifices a little draw for the power and flexibility of primordial glyph, which has incredible synergy with antonidas. Antonidas gives you reach and a little surprise factor. I'd be willing to mess around with malygos in this list as well.

The other package I would run is the heavy OTK deck with the zeus package, but honestly, I find it unreliable.

Secret pally is STILL good in Wild believe it or not. It's not top dog anymore by any means but still viable and a monkey could run it.

I played that freeze mage deck and 1st game OTK'd a shaman on 27 health on turn 9. Good deck.

I guess I was expecting something along the lines of "let's take 2 decks full of garbage and pit them against each other" and ended up with one deck full of garbage against mostly garbage + Tirion and Tarim. I didn't come away from that feeling like "hey, I want to do that again"

Not that I walk away from Quest Rogue games thinking it was a good experience, either. I just like to complain a lot.
