I played this to legend last month. It's competitive, and definitely more fun than the two established warrior archetypes.
I ran Baron Geddon to go with Malk and Grom at the top of the curve. No other pirates except 2x NFM and Patches.
I wasn't tracking stats, but as far as the deck's matchups...I think I lost to pirate warrior only once, so that was nice. Paladin felt about 50/50. That new discover mage was tough, but burn mage was no problem (just gain a gazillion health with armorsmiths and then they can't kill you). Priest was really tough to beat--I probably lost to every dragon priest I faced.
