I can't figure out how to build a hunter deck right now because there are too many ways to build it lol. I did play some kind of wacky mid-range deck and did pretty well with it earlier even though it was not good. The 4 drop SI7 beast card is AMAZING. The death rattle & battlecry buff mechanics are capable of doing broken things but hard counters make you sad. one thing I did notice is that you can force removal before highmane often now. Shaman everything completely owns Hunter and that will not change. But I believe there is a lot of hope in terms of countering Druids and any slow decks. As far as mid-range Hunter is concerned. I didn't try to build any aggressive version.
The one I made was a total train wreck of a deck even though I was winning with it. it's actually impossible for me to figure out what the heck to run in the three-mana slot, which two drops and how many, etc. It's a lot harder to build a mid-range Hunter deck nowadays, in a good way if you like the deck-building aspect of the game. Surprisingly, I was able to make a relatively strong death-rattle rogue deck with only a few refinements, whereas hunter just made my head hurt.
