goboo,

It boggles my mind how you're so incredibly ******ed in this thread, and for such a long period of time, despite seeming like a complete non-idiot in every other thread ever. And I'm not easily mind boggled.

WHAT THE **** ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT

How hard is the premise "the books don't exist" to comprehend?

Talking about things you know from the books (it doesn't matter that this specific example is seemingly benign) just opens the door for varying levels of "spoilage" and nobody wants that. It's just amazing that such a simple rule is apparently so difficult to comprehend and follow.

There are countless other examples of things KJ would not be able to do if he was a puppet .he was growing more defiant by the episode .
He cut off Ned's head before Tywin got to KL. As for abusing Tyrion, its been shown time and again how little his father cares about him.
Tywin let Joffrey do what he wants while he was running the show behind the scenes. Classic puppet.

This is a great organization. One of the big things they do is take all the food left over at Broncos games in the boxes and get it to local places.

This is really common.

ha ha, wtf did he think they were scraping uneaten food off everyone's plates and giving it away?

How do you do this? Is it an extension in chrome?

yes

dkgo did a good video on how to apply the chrome extension of which we don't speak on this forum, to this forum. Can't find it and I'm damned if I'm searching his posts, but I'm sure someone can help you out.

She had poison to kill them both if the wrong guy came through the door.

Given how fast the poison worked, it's likely that Joffrey was the lone target, rather than everybody. Had you wanted to kill everybody at the wedding you would have picked a much slower acting poison.

The jester guy is highly likely to be involved, but there's no way he was the the mastermind or organizer, more likely someone approached him to help them carry it out as they knew he'd be more than willing to.
Not to belabor a point, but from a medical POV, there are very few poisons that can act as quickly as the one used on Joff when orally ingested. (And yes, I know this is GOT so all things are possible.) Hydrogen cyanide was discovered in 1782 and I'm too lazy to look up Potassium cyanide but the general timeline for these poisons is between 1-15 minutes to get you to MFPB*. So from a timing standpoint alone, I don't think any conclusion can be drawn with respect to the the pie or the wine.

The romantic in me would prefer that the little prick have died from a swallow of really good wine... his last.

Well, ya they're playing with Westeros rules, I'm assuming there are a wide variety of poisons available. LIke the one that killed Jon Arynn, was apparently a slower acting one, taking a few days with a bad fever that could look like a disease, etc.

If you had wanted to kill everyone at the wedding you could have slipped it into the pie and had maximum carnage a few days later.

I'm assuming whoever is responsible for the poison knew it was a wickedly fast acting one.

I feel sure it was the wine, spiked by Marge. I've only watched it the once but I recall her looking nervous throughout the tyrian wine pouring part and trying to pull kj away from it. Possibly because she was worried about interference with the plan. Didn't she also kind of force lots of the pie into his mouth? Perhaps so that he would need to take a drink to wash it down.

It's also pretty clear that it was a Tyrell plot from the evidence presented in this thread wrt the necklace/olenna.
04-17-2014 , 07:44 PM
They did a good job of making everyone look nervous and suspicious though. I'm sure every scene and motion was planned out.

The Tyrell's look like the obvious choice, as they would have the money and access and opportunity to pull it off, but it still strikes me as bizarre timing. The ideal time seems like after Marg is knocked up or something.

I think we'll know the details within 2-3 episodes though. There's clearly going to be some sort of big OH SNAP moment to end the season and it seems the poisoning is part of the lead up to that.

Don't know if they are legit material here, but the extra segments on hbogo by the creators talking about this episode is pretty good. No spoilers , just some general statements about plot and characters that keep things in perspective.

GoT world or no GoT world, there was a poison some older guy tried in S2E1 on Lady Melissandre. She was unaffected of course, but it killed him within 30 seconds or so.
