Biggest leak – not motivated for the smaller buy-in comps and tend to lack patience. Also, once every few weeks me and my girlfriend like to blow off a little steam so we get in some coke, have a few drinks and play a full schedule. I’m usually pretty nitty, but on these nights I become the LAG player I’d like to be, only with no judgment whatsoever. It’s never that expensive, usually costing me a few hundred $$$ each time. A small price for a bit of fun. No?

Biggest cash is $4k 1st in big double and 1st for $3500 10r an hour later I like to think of it as a $7500 cash haha.

Biggest leak is pretending I beat cash games and in tournies 3BAI with 25bb and AQ into AK too much.

Bankroll mistakes: It took forever to process my bank wire and I played 50-100 hu vs thugmnymkr (i had just started taking shots at 10-20 6max and didn´t really play hu at any level) and donked 8k instantly. I also took a shot in a game with a bunch of hollywood guys in LA and lost 20k, but thankfully i was backed for 5k and the guy I lost it all to (one Bob Safai) gave me back 10k...
also, i never (and still dont) distinguish between money for poker and money not for poker. I don´t know if everyone does this or what? i keep less in my account than i need for the games i´m playing, but i know myself and when i tilt it´s a good way for me to regroup. I just have to get better about biting the bullet and depositing when it paralyzes me from making money.

Fundamental mistakes: Mostly I´d say not taking my time enough with decisions especially when multitabling. If a hand was at the bottom of my range, I´d shove it anyway without looking for a decent reason to fold it (i.e. stacks or players behind)
In the big picture, though, I agree with OP that it took me forever to start using the forum more, mainly cuz i just never took the time to figure out how to get good feedback. Also, I owned pokertracker and didn´t use it for 2 years. I now spend a lot less time playing, but i play more tournaments when i do, and i also spend my days off reading, reviewing, studying, talking to other players, and posting.

When i improved my work habit, my results improved tremendously and immediately.

biggest leaks- 1. calling 25+bb shoves with a-q off late in tournies when the only hands the opponent can have is qq, kk, aa, or ak

2. taking spots where i have a chip lead and could easily coast to a final table top 3 but instead i steal blinds i dont even need which isnt the problem, the problem is where i get into strange scenarios where it seems like i'm pot commited to call shoves after i open but i always lose the shoves and go on tilt after because it takes me from chip lead to 6th.
