If it gets 1000 runners (gtd is for 500) there'll be 50M chips in play. Latest it'll end is around 250k/500k I'd think, which is level 62. Shouldn't be too long of a day 2 considering day 1 plays until lvl 46. At most 10 hours including breaks.

Badugi overlayed, probably because it was so early. My theory was you made it early so East Asia could play since badugi is popular there, yet the event only got 5 Japanese and 3 South Korean runners.

What`s the payout structure in 700 mix-max?
Would all players who made phase 3 (4-max) get min-cash?

very few satellites for all events today #46, #48, #49, at least relatively to the offerings before these.

and what about the #72 event?
this is a wcoop event too and no sats run for D1A,B,C other than sngs, not even a deadline sat.
(phase event #1 had sats for all days 1x)

The voting system for the Players' Choice Event really needs to be changed. Around 50 japanese players have voted for the nl 2-7 single draw and at the meantime only 13 playing( 3 hours still left from late reg but i doubt that most of them will show up).

Can't say I'm surprised, well machinated voting campaign. Instead of massive NLO8 PSKO event we got meek small 2-7 Single Draw.

Good try to limit participation of those who didn't even intend to participate by making them need 215$. How about next time you'll make event which awards tickets usable only for that event they're voting if it is chosen? Make it like rake-free for those who vote (like 200$+15$ event but it costs just 200$ but must be played if voted and chosen). It won't cost Stars really that much.

I too voted for single draw and I definitely would've played both the badugi and single draw but a bit burnt out from many 12 hour days. They were just too far spread out as well, if badugi had started at 16:00 like the triple draw I could've regged at 18:00 and played the single draw at 22:00, but because it was one or the other it became a meh-day and I skipped it to recharge for tomorrow. Not sure what my point is, just an anecdote on why people might vote for something and then skip it, I guess.

hey bryan, i think that the mix max may have some big problems.

it got like 750 runners? so lets say 80ish should pay?

theres 91 left and it says "in order to possibly finish in the money" players must at least reach the final part. no payouts are made in any non final parts in mix max events.

but were only at 600/1200 and have 10 more minutes and then

700/1400
800/1600
1k/2k
1.2k/2.4k
1.4k/2.8k
1.6k/3.2k

So around 2 hours 30 mins more? And I fee like we need to lose less than 20 people?

Myabe I'm wrong..

from 91-87 the play went super super slow and then after 87, 10 people SNAP bust out thinking they were in the money.

what happens to all their money assuming they don't cash? goes to first place? stars? etc

another 15 or so busted, nobody has any clue whats going on, no wcoop/stars rep in ay of the chat.

i think there will be 50 people let in final phase so thats $60,000 which has to go somewhere? i assume just spread flatly throughout the field.

pretty sick that people playing a $700 tournament don't know this is a $5k bubble.

Maybe those people should have read the tournament lobby and been familiar with the format of the event in which they were competing.

The money all stays in prize pool, presumably with the structure being revised so everyone who makes day 2 is paid. It'll mean the mincash is bigger.

IMO they should figure out a way to pay people in phase events who don't make the final phase in a scenario like mix-max where they aren't really phase events, but that's just how it's done with the programming. And also say explicitly in the client that everyone who makes day 2 is guaranteed to mincash, so people know that's the real bubble. If you want to avoid exteme stalling at the end of day 1, announce in stead that everyone who makes day 2 minus, say, 3 gets a mincash, so hand-for-hand can be properly done on day 2.

Either way, I'm still not a fan of payouts being determined well after the tournament has already started by a non-published payout structure.

yeah, 700 mix-max a bit ridiculous. should be paused now. Or at least be made clear in the lobby what we are playing for.

think everybody realised now and basically stalling happening every hand, every table.

pretty insane there is nobody like bryan, or an assistant, or a mod or anybody observing these tournaments. think having a stars pro chatting up the last 100 of every field and alternating between them for tournaments would be a really good touch.

this is what i sent to stars support :

I just wanna point out how bad it is : i finished 58th in a 700+ people tournament with it saying 87 people paid and i got nothing. I completely understand multi-starting phase tournament (like the 1k during SCOOPs) where u dont know the final Prizepool till the very last phase, but here is a total different story : late reg was closed way before phase 2 started.
Also, a very clear example is live mixed max : if too many people busts out before the day end, there's no chance you wont get ITM and payout would be adjusted.

You gonna pay like 40 people out of a 700 people tournament and nobody will know what the bubble money is! Like i could have folded my way to the final phase with , lets say, 1 big blinds.. but i didnt know if it was worth it, because payout published in the phase 3 was... just random numbers! Everybody started to stall, and who didnt just burned money out of his stack by thinking they were itm.

p.s. yea i busted reshoving 35x trying not to bubble with AK otherwise i wouldnt be moaning ahahah
