I initially posted this idea in the official MTT suggestions thread but I think it makes more sense to post it here. I got a mixed reaction from the idea in the thread I originally posted it. A couple of posters seemed to really like the idea behind the concept; a couple of others weren't so sure. Here's the idea anyway...

How about an MTTSNG spin and go? Imagine the excitement there would be if 1000 players registered for an undetermined prizepool in say a $1 spin for a multi-table SNG. Normally the prizepool would be around $900-950, but with a spin and go version the prizepool could be anywhere between say $500 and $1M! It's just a thought, but I genuinely think I might be onto something as it would create a lot of excitement amongst recreational poker players (the lifeblood of the poker economy). The whole concept of being able to generate enormous prizepools in an SNG from a tiny buy-in would be attractive to a lot of players, so I think it's an innovative and exciting option for Stars to incorporate into their future SNG offering.

I assume you aren't serious - people can also just play an MTTSNG and put their winnings on roulette - there is no need to incorporate the two into one product and thereby split the MTTSNG pool.

Well you could say the same about the current spin and gos we have, but fact is they're there for a reason.

As for Anuj22 post, well she clearly likes it enough to repost my idea in the Pokerstars Ideas/Promotions/Suggestions/Opinions Thread. Just because you personally don't like the spin n go concept doesn't mean everyone won't.

Seem also all 45man have increased rake.

Any ideas if it worth rebuy more then 1x in rebuys now?
It seem 0.09 loss on full stack (0.40 now vs 0.31 before) at start is fine but if we auto-rebuy/add-on we increase rake for like 0.50 (2.5 avg rebuy 0.50 vs 0.00 before) or so and dunno if get back by better finishes.

no mention at all of freezeout MTTsngs

warning customers about some upcoming price increases that are implemented in some shady relativistic manner and then NOT warning them about other identical price increases.

They have made it as shady as possible to increase the rake in the hypers; the old buy in was $5.10 total, now its the same but instead of 10c rake its 24c so more than double the rake paid as well as even less actually going towards the prize pool!

So since they´re raking rebuys and addons now on SNGs is it posible now to request a $8r, $9r or a $10r Turbo 180 and just get rid off the $8fo and $15fo buy in?

Still gathering thoughts on this as I've been away since the changes were implemented but worth pointing out the rake changes in 8s and 2s have now been reversed. Very strange all round really

Here's my slightly abridged first thoughts btw. Please note the change in the buyin and initial rake:

With regard to the 3rs I'm not sure if people have noticed this but the buyins for 3rs have changed from 3.19+0.31 to 3.30+0.2. While this is still very bad news with regards to winrates in 3rs this is significantly better than first expected.

I generally work with 2.4 rebuys.

Under the previous system we pay 0.31 rake (of course)

Under the new system IF we continue to play the same strategy we pay 0.2*3.4=0.68

I previously expected this to be 0.31*3.4=$1.05 which would have been catastrophic

I would say a strong (although far from perfect) winrate in 3rs was $2 a game previously. A 37c rake increase would reduce that winrate to $1.63/game which is still reasonable.

However for now at least my advice is to single rebuy and not go for a double start stack. Unfortunately I've been away for Easter since the changes came in so I do need to speak to more players and do a bit more research before I'm totally sold on this but my current plan is:

- Start with 1500
- Rebuy if the blinds are 75/150 or lower and we bust (Maybe this should be 50/100 or lower?)
- Addon with 6k or less

If we continue the previous strategy of always double rebuying and adding on I would expect a 37c loss per game in profitability. If we single rebuy with the reduced rake we can hopefully mitigate this reduction in profitability further but the only way to say for sure is to build a large sample over lots of players and then compared audited results pre- and post-changes.

$35 180s are dead they barely even run on Sundays and almost not at all on weekdays time to get rid of them and replace them with a $25-$35 180 turbo PSKO. Also the $60 90 mans on Sunday never run either might as well get rid of those.

Currently part way through one of the Deep 2.75 tourneys and it's taken 11 hours! and we still have 10 players left!

it's taken 5 hours to go for 26 players to 10

everyone is the chat is like WTF is wrong with this tourney. The structure changes from 15min blinds to 20 min at like 700/1400. No idea why, it was slow enough before.

the blind structure needs to be cut down a little here please

WTF did you do with the SKO layout? is sooo sooooooooooooooo gross now it makes me doubt whos in charge of those changes. Like, those animations that pop up everytime theres a KO are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo terrible, seem to be done with the Power Point version of Win 98.

Also it changed my table theme for the KO tournaments only (card style, background, table felt) and I have to adjust it manually on EVERY SNG I open.

Are you trying to finally kill SNGs? Because you clearly seem to be taking every step towards it!
