why are the only sats to the weekly turbo $74 hypers and a gimmicky $8 2x shootout which never runs? most of the reds have deep turbo sats, i don't see any reason why this one shouldn't have some as well

feeders to these $700 scoop sats would be nice, i'm sure alot of people would like to play but can;t flick in the full buy-in every week

also it is missing #T500

This. A couple of 109s Round 1 and a few hypers ($102 would be great).

After all, its a SCOOP ME and there should be a good offer of Round 1 for this big and expensive satty.

the FPP megapath sats are great, but why not run cash versions too?

FPP path to the $1k main is
100fpp> 300 > 850 > 2500 > 7500 > 22k

Why not run cash equivalents? Something like
$1.10 > $3.30 > $7.50 > $27 > $82 > $215
.. which coincidentally matches the Steps system, for which STT SNGs are running around the clock and tickets are available in the VIP store. It's not like these would ever overlay as each level would need like 3-4 runners to guarantee a seat to the next stage, so there's nothing to lose by trying them out.

While we don't run Mega-Paths in cash (one of the key features of the FPP Mega-Paths is that players are locked in to the next round, which we don't do in cash satellites), we do run multi-round satellites for various targets in cash... just not on the same scale.

why not do a cash mega path where the winner of each round can either play the next round OR unregister and receive the equivalent valued step ticket.

the multi-round satellites are very limited though.
there are plenty of $82, $109, $215, $320, $700 satellites that have 0 feeders.
at least put one satellite Rd1 for each (if not more)
eg. $7.5-$11 Rd1 -> $82 and $109 targets
$11-$27 -> $215 and $320 targets, etc.

i'm talking having scoop sats in mind, but that also goes for other red stuff like the th.thrill that has maybe only 3 Rd1s that are semi-decent (semi cause they are hypers),
s.tuesday has 0 non-hyper Rd1s (it has 6 hypers Rd1s, meaning 500 starting stacks with 3' blind levels-no thanks), etc.

yeah I know, I'm suggesting you change that.

even if players are forced into the next round as the exclusive reward for winning(win round 1, must play round 2. win round 2, must play round 3, etc etc.) it is not a negative thing, as long as everybody is well aware of it before registering

What's keeping back the deployment of SCOOP satellites? It looks like these days, during peak hours, there's only running a bunch of fpp sats, a $82 to the scoop main-M, and a $700 to the scoop main-H (and I'm not even sure if this runs daily?).

Surely some more midstakes satellites to the first 215/1k/2k's, and to the main events won't cannibalize other traffic (in particular monte carlo sats)?

This is the thing, though... even with sufficient warning, we know from experience that it's an intensely negative experience. We did this at least once, with EPT satellites back in the day, and the response was very, very negative. Players don't seem to mind when it's in FPP satellites, but when cash is involved, it's a very different story.

(Believe me, as someone who's success in their job depends on satellites, I'd love it if we could do what you describe! But we can't...)

SCOOP satellites are ramping up as the series approaches. The current deployment runs through April 23rd. A further expansion will hit the site on April 24th, increasing the frequency of satellites beyond what's currently running.

yeah I can believe that for sure. I guess you could get round it by paying out tickets? This would work best if the levels matched up with the Steps system, and would no doubt require a good deal of thought and work to implement, but a standardised path for satelite buyins to a bunch of major tournaments would be a great result for players and the site.

That’s great to hear, but as SCOOP is the next big event on the agenda (and apart from EPT MC the ‘only’ event left in the near future), I don’t see why this ramp up hasn’t started earlier (asap after EPT malta / SM anniversary or at the very least storm anniversary). I just don’t see a reason not do start off with as many satellites as possible, provided you don’t cannibalize another part of the schedule.

This is the thing. Cannibalization. We run as many satellites as possible without impacting the rest of the schedule. The main schedule itself has been undergoing massive change in the past few weeks, and we've been running quite a few major promotions, with the SM Anniversary and then the Storm Anniversary. With those two things now concluded, and the regular schedule settling down a bit, SCOOP will expand still further and take the main focus when it comes to satellite attention. This expansion will be deployed tomorrow. It's fairly likely that it will start tomorrow, assuming everything is ready in time, in fact. (e.g. that the currently deployed satellites for the 23rd will be wiped and replaced with the new scheme)

Thanks as always for the feedback; it's great to hear that people are hungry for more satellites... with SCOOP on the horizon, that's very encouraging to hear. This time last year, satellites had just barely started, and we've now been running them for a few weeks, so we've honestly been a bit unsure as to how many we could put out there before oversaturation became an issue... but they've been running successfully, and so I'm not as worried about expansion as I might have been otherwise...
