In lane just see who you are up against. If he is bad you can easily just Q W E and move back from him.

Also for new players buying runes, you should buy the standard page of Flat AD reds and qunits, flat armor yellows, and mr blues. This pages works on most ads, tops, and jungles (not optimal for jungle but it will work until you can afford more runes). If you like playing mid though you'll def need to get different reds and quints (mp or ap). This should be enough until you start playing ranked. and the reason you get flat ad over armor pen is to allow you to last hit when pushed back to tower.

Also flat AD actually means more damage for autoattacks (or abilities without base damage values) even against champions in most scenarios. It's not just for lasthitting. It's pretty common misunderstanding that "arpen is more damage but flat ad helps with lasthits". That is only true when significant portion of your damage is not AD scaling (eg. AD casters).

But tbh that all could change very soon. Depends on how the items/masteries change, but flat arpen could possibly become significantly stronger soon if they don't nerf/remove the flat arpen runes or massively nerf LW and %arpen mastery. Currently flat penetration is applied before the % penetration, but in S3 it will be the other way around. This means that in a few weeks the "basic AD page" could very well be arpen reds and quints.

So as someone who has been playing for about 6 months, how would you recommend I learn to play without screen lock on? I was able to reach 1400s in season 2 playing with it on but I feel like being able to play without it on would help me out a ton. Should I be using a high or low screen move sensitivity?
Use the default until you get a feeling for what suits you best. And remember to use spacebar liberally to recenter the view. You can even hold it down when the action gets hectic.

I was the lone viewer last night for a couple of hours.

Still not familiar enough with the champs to recognize them ALL on sight (especially with the different skins) but I did see an Office Mundo against you guys at one point.

The one thing I've noted is that even at your level many players ignore the Red/Blue buffs, your team seemed to pick them up at will.

I also saw the purple team steal your Baron at one point. How does one protect against that and does that happen often. I'm assuming since his entire team gets the buff, him dying is a small price to pay (Can't imagine how you could get away after a steal attempt in those spots)

I've read a fair bit about denying their team the jungle in mid game, is that a strategy you employ?

jungler has to smite properly. In teamranked you can time your last burst of dmg to make it safer.

Worth mentioning that you shouldn't try burst when your jungler has smite up. As long as nobody in your team tries to burst it down it's basically impossible for opponents to steal it without smite, but if/when your team is trying to burst it down it's possible for opponents to succeed in a smiteless steal.

not if you time it properly through teamspeak or something

Anyway. I've never ever been this low of a **** elo before and it irritates the **** out of me. This was my last game.

I think Kayle works better as on-hit than AD. Especially because you start out with meki -> fiendish codex -> nashor's tooth, given you the mana for both sustain and harrass.

Chinz, how is kayle a viable jungler?

Kayle can jungle, there's no reason to pick her over someone else but if you really wanted to you can. Better than Karthus, Eve and Jayce who I've seen troll jungled.

Why not? Good steroid and AoE damage. No hard CC or gapclosers, but decent slow and speed buff help a bit.

Outside the obvious tier 1 (the jungle picks you see all the time in tournaments) she's probably one of the better junglers.

buffs in general are very important. At the start the jungler will usually try to pick up his buffs and then gank, but the mid player if they have mana will start taking their team's blue buff the 2nd time it spawns. As the game progresses you usually want to give the red buff to your AD carry, so he has a slow and can chase/kite. If you lose your buffs to the enemy team its rough, because mid with no blue buff against a blue buff is very hard and anyone who has a redbuff can slow people and gank.

the way to protect this is having a good jungler who knows how to smite :P. Smite does true damage based on your level, so your jungler just needs to use it to finish off the baron to ensure you get it. if an enemy jungler tries to flash in and steal it what should happen is someone stuns him/silences so he can't smite and then your team finishes it off. if jungle can steal it and only him dying is the result, its definitely worth it for that team. champs like lee sin can get in and out because he has the flash summoner and his W skill is a dash... i stole baron twice with lee sin and lived, and tonio called me the best lee sin of all time. it was fun (: .

This depends on the jungler on your team. some junglers, like shyvana, clear very fast and want to deny their enemy jungle as much exp as possible while they try to level and hit 6 before gankings. Other junglers dont clear as fast or are much better at ganking, so they focus more on that. Denying jungle exp is probably one of the harder things to do as a jungler, as it requires good map awareness and timing so that you don't fall behind

ill stream more today!!

7-0 in placements across my 2 accounts now, mumu way too strong

at ~1500 now so people are finally counterjungling and invading but if they invade you can just go take their blue with your team and nothing changes. A Lee tried to go his blue-->my red and catch me there but got a great smiteless leash on my blue and finished my red and ran away and then actually went and killed him at his red at lvl 4, pretty hilarious.

Had been playing draft normals, trying to get better at champs/lanes I don't play much ... picked Cho mid, fed horribly to fizz ... was 0/7/1 at one point. Fortunately, due to a combination of fizz's terrible teamfight awareness, a very ward-attentive support player, fed irelia in top lane, and horrible dives by the other team, we ended up coming back ftw. My endscore was 9/9/11.

In the victory screen, I found out that I had accidentally selected ranked instead of normal. Great success! First placement match down.

I was 17-2 with him last season. He's pretty broken, but a lot of bad players play him which brings his win rate down. I always see people engage in the worst spots and then die because they didn't have the team behind him. A lot of bad players like picking amumu, but if you are good with him, he wrecks solo queue.
