I watched most of the live stream of the tonybet ofc championships and so some horrific opening sets and card placement on 6-7 and 8-9

The girl who won and Mercier were on the same table and made really bad mistakes.

Pineapple still really profitable imo

Why, it's regarding a newspost, including a video that shows how the ABCChinesePoker app is being hacked and people set hands perfectly.

I'm not gonna post it again, did it twice so you do it yourself if you want to know more.

Thank you.

It's enough for you to tell us the ABCChinesePoker app is being hacked.

Anybody who wants to know more can contact you privately.

That's kind of weird, because Ben posted a link to his own site with a little shameless self promotion just a few posts ago and no one stopped him. Meanwhile I would have loved to have a direct link to the article.

Can you explain to me what links can or can't be posted? It confuses me a lot and I have an OFC educational site I want to promote but I always direct people to my commercial marketplace thread instead. I'm going to be making an OFC educational youTube video pretty soon, is that appropriate for this thread or not?

Thanks.

And thanks brinky for the update. I heard about the hack and have informed some friends, but in general, everyone only plays with people they trust anyways.

No problem. I'll send it to you.

Sure.

Let me quote out FAQ for you:

I use some discretion (although it may not seem so to someone who had a post or link deleted), but the first of Brinkytinky's posts I deleted had no explanation - just the link.

You should be aware that different forums are moderated differently. I think that may be what confuses people.

and I have an OFC educational site I want to promote
If you're profiting (monetarily) from promoting the site, then your promotion probably belongs in the marketplace forum.

Seems right to me. You can post a link in this forum to your 2+2 commercial marketplace thread.

I don't see anything wrong with it. However, note that I'm not the only moderator of this forum. Mat Sklansky or AlienSpaceBat might have a different opinion.

Thanks.
You're welcome. I hope I've made moderation matters clearer for you.

That's how I feel about it too.

I'll send you the (deleted) link you want. Anybody else who wants it can contact you or Brinkytinky privately.

Buzz you may be enforcing 2+2's policy but it is incredibly bad internet ethics to copy paste the entirety of an article from another site without attributing the site with a link. It's probably also intellectual property theft.

That is the intent. Also I want to keep this forum spam free. When someone just posts a link with no explanation (and that's what I deleted that led to this) I don't know what it is. I didn't even click on the link.

I hope you don't think I'm suggesting people copy (plagarize) material from another site and paste it here. I'm not.

I use some discretion in dealing with links that are posted and in your case decided to delete the link you posted. Since the link was all there was in the post, I deleted the post.

No offense was intended.

Lol, so if I just post a link, with an explanation what the article is about, then you probably wouldn't delete it?

Well in that case!

Well guys, here is a link containing an article found on a site (not mine, just making sure Buzzy) that somebody gave me, about a hack being found for the popular ABCChinesePoker app, by the russian Ivan Bezdomny who hasn't replied to the allegations made by a couple of guys in the poker community.

It shows a youtube video on how the hack works by a running game as an example.

Also Buzz, you say posting links to your own site for marketing purpose is baddd mmmkay, but when somebody tries to warn others for possible cheating in a p2p ofc app, you decide to shut it down?

just lol ...

Buzz, I think you've missed the mark here. This is pretty big news and should be the first result in NVG. A lot of people got taken for a lot of money, and this isn't the first example of something like this happening:

(I hope pokerstars links are ok. I do not own the site, nor am I affiliated with them in any way.)

Brinkytinky - No.

You posted a link with no explanation.

I didn't know what it was and I deleted it.

I don't like to click on unknown links.

It's just that simple, really.

As I wrote before, there was no intention to offend.

Ivan has been pretty fast to reply to me about other topics but the moment I mentioned this it has been complete silence on his part (besides for tweeting about another app he has made).
Have pretty good reason and speculation to believe I'm currently being got by someone to the tune of 2k or so so would definitely like some clarity

Correct, and there was actually a third app that was created to defraud people out of money.

Even I am an iOS developer and have apps in the app store. It's a really low barrier to entry to put your own app in the store. $99, some understanding of the various frameworks and you are there with rudimentary programming knowledge. You can just re-skin someone else's code you bought and spend all your time thinking how to scam people.

No offense taken. I know you are honest and call them like you see them.

The community of HS OFC players is quite small, but many millions were scammed this time around. More than was stolen by Ultimate Bet and Absolute superusers in fact from the gossip I hear.

Pineapple Fantasyland: 5-pair hand, one A-high flush, no straights, no trips (meaning no full houses either):

AA Q JJ T 9 77 66 5 44

Decision has been made after seeing opponent set (54o back row, we have lots of blockers) to ignore the A-high flush to instead put the AA in front row for 9 points, hoping for a scoop or opponent foul for the max value of 15 points (scoop plus royalty)

Does this seem optimal:

AAQ
7766T
JJ449

And if so, then how is this for a formula for a 5-pair FL set:

FRONT: TOP PAIR / top kicker
MIDDLE: 3RD & 4TH PAIR / 2nd kicker
BACK: 2ND & 5TH PAIR / 3rd kicker

If not, why not?
