He's used to people needing entrance music to come out. When they do so without entrance music, he's confused.

Sheamus is a low midcarder with a main event body (in Vince's eyes) who became friends with HHH.

Yeah I've thought about it some more and I retract my idea. To many things would have to happen perfectly in order for it to work. They could never pull it off. They should just scrap the idea of Reigns being champion. Maybe let him feud for the IC belt? To bad they don't have the big gold belt anymore. They could have let Reigns carry that around until the end of time.

Watched the Rock heel turn survivor series last night on the network. Damn that was well executed booking the entire way through. They did a great job of having it work out where it looked like Rock was getting it over on the corporation in real time but then when you looked back at it after the turn it was just them helping him the whole way. The stuff with Mankind was great too. That was a better booked event than pretty much anything I've seen since I started watching again (about the time Miz was champ).

The biggest disappointment of all now is that Rollins got hurt, because I think a repeat of this with Reigns as Rock and Rollins as Mankind would have been incredible.

I don't remember all of the build up to The Rock's turn, but I remember Vince pretending to be Mankind's friend and giving him the Hardcore Title. Good stuff, that was.

It's amazing that they have so many great classic storylines and angles to regenerate and it's not like they don't rehash a lot of stuff they've done before, but it's usually the garbage we over and over again.

The lead up to the event I'm not 100% on. I know Vince "handpicked" Mankind to be the corporate champion. First he gave him the hardcore title as a thank you and then told him his corporate champion needed to look the part, so Mankind started dressing in a tuxedo.

At the event he gave Mankind a mystery opponent for round one and gave a big, long introduction leading to the reveal of Gillberg. Corporate stooge The Big Bossman was brought in to be Rocks first opponent, and Rock caught him in a rollup and won in 7 seconds. Rock's second opponent was Shamrock and after a long back and forth, Bossman threw the nightstick in their general direction, Rock grabbed it out of the air, and blasted Shamrock with it for the win. They made it look like he could be throwing it to Shamrock and so you just assumed that's what was going on until you looked back on the event.

Just a really well done situation on all fronts.

And not just WWE stuff. Decades worth of angles from dozens of companies, many of which they own now. A wrestling historian could come up with a better 3 hour TV show of stuff that is new to most of the current audience in a couple of hours.

OMG, I've watched that Survivor Series probably 3-4 times in my life, and I've never realized that Rock was actually getting help in the tournament the entire time. I can't believe I've never caught this. Really well done by whoever booked it.

Also, if memory serves, I remember Rock giving Vince the People's Elbow on the go home show to a massive pop.

Check out the first segment from RAW the next night. I watched it a few days before SS and was blown away at how good it was.

Russo and Ferrara. He actually has a podcast about how him and Ferrara planned this out around 3 months in advance. I haven't listened to it but apparently it's pretty good.

GETTING CLOSE

I’m going to quote an article from July, 2014, called “The Sad Case Of Zack Ryder” in which I wrote: “Eventually, people get tired of finding out that the WWE Superstars they have supported with their cheers, their signs, their purchases, their follows, and their likes aren’t real Superstars – and, little by little, those fans lose interest in WWE, find other interests, and become former WWE fans.”
I am one of those people on the verge of becoming a former WWE fan. I’m tired of being told through Raw, Smackdown and PPV’s that WWE superstars I have rooted for – from Ziggler to Cesaro to Kevin Owens aren’t top stars – no matter how strongly crowd reaction seems to disagree. I’m tired of NXT stars getting their big “break” in WWE, just to be treated like jokes.
Six months ago, my son and I traveled 12 hours – from Eastern Tennessee to Orlando, Florida to watch Sasha Banks wrestle Becky Lynch at ‪#‎NXTTakeover‬.- One of the greatest women’s matches of all time. Last night, in what I believe was their first singles match on ‪#‎RAW‬ Sasha and Becky were given four minutes. At a time when WWE desperately needs to make new stars – when they need to give wrestlers with talent the opportunity to break through – they gave Sasha and Becky four minutes. I turned the channel, and watched a pretty good football game instead. I think I can get used to watching football games on Monday night again.
I will be watching RAW this Monday. Maybe, as is often the case in relationships, they will give me just enough to remind me why I love wrestling – just enough to keep me coming back. Maybe they will even give Sasha and Becky a rematch – and a legitimate chance to show the world what they can do. .
There is an old saying in politics : as Ohio goes, so goes the nation. Think of me as the Ohio of wrestling fans. If I leave, it’s not just one disgruntled former fan; finding something else to do on Monday nights. Instead, losing a long-time, die-hard fan like me might well be an indication of a larger exodus from WWE. I guess we’ll see what tale the ratings tell.
I want to stay. I really do. So please WWE – next week on WWE Raw… Just give me a reason.

Foley is right. Their inability to build anybody at all as a main eventer since Randy Orton is hilariously bad. We are looking at over a decade of wasted talent now.

Certainly can't be WWE's fault. It obviously reflects everyone on the roster (with the exception of John Cena) lacking the ability or desire to grab the brass ring.
