Hard to take that advice seriously from someone who posted what you did.

Stipulation added to Ambrose vs Rollins at SummerSlam. Please laugh along with me:

Spoiler:
a lumberjack match

that'll get subscribers! no, not a ladder match, not a hardcore match, not a falls count anywhere, not a cage match (you know the thing that makes sense given the actual stip), but a ****ing lumberjack match.

I guess his reason is that it will stop Rollins from running away but lumberjack matches are almost always terrible and a recipe for bad finishes.

Yeah that's a really terrible decision and payoff for spending like half an hour on Raw building up "one of these guys will get to pick the stipulation."

Also it makes no ****ing sense given Ambrose's character.

Unless he shows up on Raw and starts changing his mind a bunch of times.

Seems like that's just gotta be a way to get all the neglected dudes a PPV check.

I don't hate it as a concept, but seems like you need to build up to that and there's zero foundation at this point.

That would actually work. Would play on the idea that he is kinda crazy. And then finally land on a match for the briefcase.

I can see the argument that says "I want to keep the Authority out of it" or even something where Dean admits he's too crazy and wants people to keep him in the ring so he doesn't get DQ-ed. I just hope they don't go full "Seth's a coward", since that's not really something they've conveyed to any degree. ****, Seth asked for Dean to be IN the MITB match.

There's ways you can make the stip work, the most frustrating part about it to me is that if I'm right and it's mostly a way to get Cesaro/Sheamus/ADR etc in the match it means they won't be doing something more interesting.

This is actually a valid concern for wrestlers (and some other athletes) in general. However, fact is that the likelihood that someone were to go full Benoit or even full Jr Seau is so low even after multiple concussions. Unfortunately, we don't understand the human brain enough to be able to locate which damaged areas of the brain would be good predictors for future violent behavior.

The odds may be low, but we have to factor in the risk of ruin principle.

If it ever happened again the consequences would be drastic. The media backlash would be severe. WWE could lose their sponsors, their TV slot etc. Stock price would fall through the floor. Government agencies would clamp down. It could be the end of the company.

This is the new belt. Not sure about the front but I like the big side plates.

1- I love big gold belt so much that I hate to see it go.
2- This is kinda ugly
3- I totally understand it from a branding perspective. It makes more sense for the WWE belt to look lke the WWE belt and not just some random good looking title belt.

Also Smackdown might start airing on Thursdays again.

I hate "the big gold belt". It's not the same as the one used many years ago. It looks like some plastic play toy now. So does the WWE title now (spinner was better) but I just don't understand the allure of that crappy gold belt.

Yeah, the cool thing about the big gold belt was its tradition and prestige more than its look. WWE unfortunately killed the tradition and prestige off and made it some secondary belt that you give to Sheamus.

The big gold belt, while having an entirely acceptable look, never held up to the WWF winged eagle belt of days gone by.

It has nothing to do with mystique or anything to me (all the WCW I watched was when I was a kid and didn't even know the difference), I just think it looks cool and a bit more unique than the other belts.

Well certainly it's unique, NWA/WCW tried to do everything way differently than WWF since WWF was the cartoon circus and NWA/WCW was the company that put on better wrestling and derisively said "we actually WRESTLE over here!" I always enjoy hearing Jim Ross taking those obvious shots at WWF on old shows from before he defected and joined the WWF for the prime of his career.

http://www.wwe.com/inside/alberto-del-rio-released

Del Rio released due to "unprofessional conduct and an altercation with an employee".

From my understanding this is atypical because these situations are usually resolved with a match at Summer Slam.

Wow. Not even wished the best in his future endeavors. Must be like Macho Man serious.

I assume if it was a work the story would look a lot less obviously rushed. This has a very "lets announce it first before somebody else does" feel, although obviously I'm less familiar with how WWE uses their site than some of you might be.

The rumor was always that he was on the way out, but it makes me sad because I was just really starting to enjoy his work.

Usually though the story will have his real name then (Alberto Del Rio). Seems a touch odd.

Their release stories have always been legit as far as I know. If they were going to do one as a work then you wouldn't think ADR would be the guy.
