I can’t wait to watch Ziggler over sell for Shane. That is Wrestlemania level quality right there

Without thinking too hard about it I’m gonna guess Shane’s matches over the last 5 years or whatever have been > than the avg WM/ppv match

I guess it’s really just been AJ, taker, Owens and a couple survivor series matches now that I’m looking it up.

I actually like it. Good for Ziggler getting his match. Last year, I thought there were better opportunities for AJ that they were wasting. It's not like they're taking anything away from Ziggler to do this. I'll enjoy it on the 13 hour pre-show.

Yeah very happy for ziggler too and make no mistake, a match with Shane IS a big deal imo

Think it was on the steve Austin podcast where xpac was on talking about his WM match vs Shane. Said when he was told he was bummed out bc he really wanted to put on a great match with a great wrestler but eventually felt better about it when ppl in the industry were congratulating him for being in that spot vs the son of the owner of the company, it was a much bigger deal than anything he could’ve done vs Val Venis or whatever. Stone cold agreed 100%

Maybe not apples to apples, time have changed etc etc but i do think a match with Shane is more of a feather in dolphs cap than virtually any other reasonable opponent

I like the Shane-jumping-off-a-tall-structure part of WMs.

Also, Ziggler >>> AJ imo.

I'm not debating wrestling skills here, it's just I find Styles kinda boring in everything else. And "The House.... that.... A!!... J!!!!... Styles!!!!..... Built!!!' is just way too long and pointless to be a catchy tagline especially with the emphasis headbanging after every word.

Ziggler looks better, acts better and has a better theme song. He's just way cooler.

I think that'd go in the unpopular thread as well fwiw...especially the music. Perhaps I'm wrong about the rest though.

Ziggler > AJ is one of the hottest unpopular opinions I've ever seen on the forum. And I like Dolph.

IMO both have decent themes, no huge separation for me there.

Music can of course be debated and it depends on what you value from a theme.

I won't argue that AJs music is better (even way better) from a purely musical POW, but you have to factor in the "suddenly music appears for a surprise run-in"-factor and Ziggler wins that one by a mile imo.

Obv, the current record scratching and silence before it gets going doesn't work that well for a surprise run-in, but Ziggler casually strolling in after it makes it really good too.

I'll grant you the hair though - can't really make an argument there.

Now I realize how awful it is that we're not in a WWE world (or universe) with AJ and AJ. Imagine how much fun Vince could've had with AJ had AJ still been there.

Styles would wrestle with a shirt for a while, using the name "Styles." He's going back up the ramp and sees AJ Lee walking down the ramp and becomes smitten. Not with as low of a bar as they've set. There was that whole guest host period, and basically everyone involved is as qualified as Drew Carey or Kid Rock.
