I haven't seen the PPV, but after reading the results I'm optimistic.

When was the last time WWE actually did the right thing in putting over new talent? After watching Raw I thought Kofi would surely lose to Orton with Orton probably looking dominant. But, Kofi actually won and seemed to look great doing it.

Same goes for Miz, McIntyre, and Sheamus.

Is WWE actually going to give new guys a bona fide shot? Kinda looks like it.

How can he be on the block when he moves from the C show to the A show?

You're forgetting our laws of logic break down when applied to the WWE Universe, don't worry, its a common error.

Not going to lie, I kind of marked out when HBK insta superkicked HHH when the bell rang. Hilarious how the fans gave it such a huge pop when HHH is supposed to be a face.

This month has been a fantastic month for wrestling and I saw absolutely nothing from WWE . I skipped smackdown, ecw, raw and survivor series.

The last 2 TNA PPVs have been great! I really enjoyed Bound for Glory and this month's TNA turning point has been really good as well. Let me see, AJ/ Samoa Joe/Daniels or HHH/Cena/HBK.....hmmmmmmm or Jericho/UT/Big Slow.....not even close imo. I'll take any AJ/Samoa/Daniels match all day every day. It's amazing how little I care about the WWE guys anymore (with the exception of Jericho and CM Punk)

Also I really really loved Dragon Gate USA PPV this month. I thought it was one of the best PPVs I have ever seen, I actually enjoyed this one more than the very first Dragon Gate PPV. I was thinking about it today about any PPV I have ever watched that I enjoyed more and I really couldn't think of too many. The only one I could think of was when I watched AAA When Worlds Collide (featuring the very first time I saw a then 19yr old Rey Meysterio) . I remember watching that PPV and it completely blew me away (it's still regarded by many as the greatest PPV of all time).

I still have to do the Dragon Gate PPV review just because I loved it so much for the 1% of you who care (there might be more because I've gotten PMs from lurkers of this thread who never ever post here, so I know there are lots of lurkers).

Also I've been watching a lot of Roh dvds and also been checking out the Final Countdown tours. So so good. All in all a great month. with absolutely no WWE, feels great.

Seen the Final Countdown Dayton DVD - so damn good.

Btw, Chris Hero is so gonna be the biggest name in wrestling when he moves to WWE and/or TNA. He spend all that DVD commentating solidly then he went off and put on a great match with Dragon to main event the show. His gimmick is subtle but solid, his mic work is top notch and his ring work is what you would expect of a main event star in ROH. He has to be equal with Tyler Black to be the next ROH champ (assuming the company survives) when A Double gets his own juicy top 2 contract.

The two TNA PPVs were great, its amazing how they struggle to do a good Impact week in week out though. Tara and Kong have a shout as having womens match of the year and the AJ/Joe/Daniels match is certainly as good as any match ive seen over the past couple years.

Then the DGUSA PPV - i enjoyed it, wasnt quite as buzzed as you given i have little history with DG, but its definitely a must see PPV for the year and im excited to see what they produce next time around (err, this weekend if im not mistaken).

WWE, well, the Jericho vs Undertaker match they gave away on Smackdown was good. I dont want to sound like a hater, but frankly nothing stands out for me recently from the E, but i havent seen a huge amount of TV other than the odd recommended matches. For the biggest wrestling company by far, its pretty pathetic.

RAW doing some sick complete lack of brand extension tonight.

Kofi v. Ziggler
Punk vs. Cena
DX vs. Hart Dynasty

Other stuff I'm sure. Maybe a Christian citing? Promised a new number one contender that hasn't been a world champion before, seems obvious Kofi will get screwed by Orton, so maybe DiBiase or Christian getting a PPV title shot?

For some reason I was really high on this PPV. The Bryan Danielson vs Naruki Doi match was outstanding, I loved every minute of it. It really was a match with probably two of the best wrestlers in the world today. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and somehow during this match it finally hit me and it filled me with complete rage.
This was going to be the very last time that we see Bryan Danielson in any type of match like this. It's quite astonishing how awesome Bryan Danielson is, now he's going to WWE and he's going to work with guys like Kane and Shamus and everyone is gonna go wtf are these guys talking about (hyping up Bryan Danielson).

The Davey Richards vs Shingo match was self explanatory. Simply awesome and breathtaking. A suicide dive out of the ring over three rows, a shooting star press into a kimura, outstanding. Next to AJ Styles, I don't know who I enjoy watching wrestle more than Davey. For those that has never seen Davey, he's a cross between Benoit and the Dynamite Kid but Davey actually has more charisma, a better look than those 2 and can work the mic, no joke.

So tonight on RAW they have a Battle Royal for guys that haven't won a World Title and give the following guys an opportunity a chance to qualify:

Kofi Kingston, Legacy, Mark Henry, MVP, R-Truth, Sheamus, Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler, Finlay, Chris Masters, Evan Bourne, Cryme Tyme, Chavo, and Primo.

How do these guys get left out:

Christian, William Regal, Matt Hardy, John Morrison, and The Miz.

Final Battle Royal should have been Randy, Kofi, Christian, Hardy, Morrison, DiBiase, MVP, and Sheamus IMO.

So have Mizark and Swagger. Maybe ECW strap doesn't count?

+1

Sometime around when Bobby Lashley won the title, or maybe exactly that moment, it stopped being thought of as a world title.

Seriously though, excellent RAW, nice to see some new faces for the #1 contender spot and my god is Sheamus getting pushed quickly (can thank HHH for that one). Hopefully Sheamus won't get Mizzed at the TLC PPV (is it me or is having a WWE Championship table match really ******ed? Tag or lower titles fine, but it doesn't take a ton of skill to put a guy through a table). Ventura has been the best guest host by far AINEC, shame he's off doing real work instead of being a commentator/GM for WWE.

I'm not suprised they didn't put the IC/US/ECW champ in, they already have a title, and Regal's feuding for that ECW title, but yes Matt Hardy being left out is a shame, imo at least put him in place of Primo, he had no use of being there lol

I thought it was a really good Raw too.

Sheamus made sense. Sheamus' brawler style should complement Cena well.

Kofi and Orton will have something at the TLC PPV. I think that will better for Kofi than a one-off title match with Cena.

Ventura was great, especially on commentary with Vince. The guest host deal is so much better when the host has a history in and knowledge of the business.

Those two were truly great matches and contenders of match of the year for sure.

Its gonna be interesting to see how Bryan works out in the E.

I think its unfair to prejudge his work in the company and the feuds he will have as i can easily see him working in good technical matches with the likes of Christian, Jericho, Morrison, Punk, HBK etc right off the bat after the usual quick/squash matches to establish him and pretty much skip over the middle stages of the company.

Sheamus is a good model of how quickly you can rise in the company right now with a power vacuum at the top, and with a professional history working with Shawn Michaels, Jamie Noble (who has lots of sway as a producer for those unaware) and one has to assume guys like Cena and Triple H who are fans of the industry at heart are fans of Bryan for his indy work.

If he can get the crowd to buy into his style then he should be able to just come to the company and business as usual in terms of how his matches are booked to play out.

Just saw Turning Point. Angle/Wolfe was of course fantastic, a brilliant display of wrestling. I could watch those two wrestle every day for a year.

But Joe/Styles/Daniels had me pounding the table with tears in my eyes. Unbelievable.

Agreed their first match was so much better, amazingly as that sounds.

What? HulkHogan81 actually likes a good technical wrestling match? I thought
you liked Hogan vs Kevin Nash 60 minute ironman showdowns?

I thought the latest was better than the first, but i guess its like choosing between a smoking hot blonde or a smoking hot brunette.

Ive seen most of the Survivor Series (skipped the diva match and not seen the Cena one yet) and it was surprisingly good. Ive heard good things about the Cena match too (not surprising given who he is working with) and i read that Raw was extremely good too, and i look forward to seeing Sheamus face Cena at TLC despite it being a tables match (such a dumb way to decide a world title) and the Kofi/Orton feud has been great so far.

Early signs of competition forcing up quality or 1000 monkeys on 1000 typewriters i wonder.
