Yeah, the Ganso Bomb is considered by everyone to be the most dangerous wrestling move ever invented. Kawada ended up using it something like three or four times in the future and only in extremely controlled conditions against absolute experts who could be dropped on their head and protect themselves as much as possible. Its said that no one was ever asked to take a Ganso Bomb and 99% wouldnt even consider asking to take one its so dangerous.

Nash's never impressed me.

The crazy high impact ones that I've seen the likes of Chris Benoit and Eddy Guerrero do really made me feel underwhelmed after years of only seeing Sid and Nash execute powerbombs.

I also always enjoyed Chris Jericho's triple powerbomb just for the skill involved, though it didn't look as devastating as the greatest powerbombs.

Yeah, the triple powerbomb was great but the Last Ride was always the most impressive bomb imo. Taker always looked like he would drive the guy through the mat when he did it.

The setup for most powerbombs is always too silly to me. I mean Billy Kidman has CLEARLY demonstrated they're an ineffective move, and yet people still try and and nobody bothers to ask Billy his secret.

That said my CAW in No Mercy had a spinning sitout powerbomb as his finisher because it looks awesome and I <3 any move that ends in a pin without having to transition.

It might come down to nostalgia, or weighing things too much on the main event or one particular undercard match, but anything from the last 10 years are like supercards compared to the earlier WMs.
what? you are trying to compare a show with a legit 5 star match on it(owen vs bret, my favorite match of all time... and i was ****ing there), along with shawn vs razor ladder match and macho man vs crush, falls count anywhere, with an awesome finish.

one of the best wrestlemanias ever.

Its not like they dont have the makings, or had the makings anyway, of a really awesome product. They just refuse to do it, mostly out of incompetence.

I listed 10 as being better. I think the fact you were there might be influencing your opinion though, yes Bret vs Owen and the ladder match were both awesome, but the rest of the card sucked. Savage/Crush finish was meh.

Yoko v. Luger sucked but came with the bonus of a very entertaining Hennig heel turn (too bad the angle didn't go anywhere as he split, but still a great turn). Bret getting the belt at the end of the night was feel-good even if that match with Yoko was nothing amazing. Combine that with legitimately two of the greatest matches in WWE history (that ladder match being one of the most revolutionary and influential ever as well), and WM X was a great show that I'll always have a high opinion of. Through the first ten WrestleManias, only WM 8 has a good claim for being a better show as far as I'm concerned.

I can't put much of that on the company or the workers, but it brought things down quite a bit for me regardless. Atlanta should lose their WWE PPV privileges for years.
That is true. I still think the best crowds are Detroit and Philly.

Just sorta thinking about what would provide an "epic" WM next year... I was watching a little bit of WM 3 on a stream and what made the main event so amazing was the combination of the "unbeatable" giant and the super over babyface champion.

Every single WM for the last 5 years or so has included half of that formula with Undertaker's streak, but they have not been able to the latter. A face turned Miz (preferably included with a Cena turn) who holds onto the belt all year I think is the only combination that would put some doubt into an Undertaker WM match. This obviously hinges on Miz being able to get almost universally over, but if he could pull it off, I think it would work far better than say Taker/HHH III (of which the result would be extremely obvious).

I know the possibility of a Miz turn (as part of a double turn) was thrown around here before WM, but they never planted any seeds for it before Mania aside from building some hate for his opponent, so I never bought it as any kind of real possibility.

On Raw, they did actually go out of their way to have some faces (Cena, Booker on commentary) show some respect for The Miz. Replaying that awful head smack against the concrete was there to help put him over further. I can totally see a turn happening now.

Trailer for Kurt Angle's new movie Death from Above. It looks like it was filmed with an iPhone in about 3 days. Kurt is apparently descended from ancient Druids. Also features Matt Morgan, James Storm, and Sid Vicious.

Possibly a worse movie than The Chaperone or Knucklehead.
