Nope... wouldn't want to devalue the title...

Strangely that one week of Vince with the belt didn't even really devalue the title, as he just got placed on top of HHH, who he was getting squashed by, after massive interference was run and HHH was decommissioned by others. I'm wondering if this was HHH refusing to put someone over for real so they transitioned the belt this way instead.

Nah, HHH got the belt back like two weeks later. He then dropped it to Big Show at Survivor Series before winning it back again at the start of the year on RAW.

I'd guess it was just to make HHH a multi time champion.

Btw LKJ that HHH vs Big Show WWE title match on RAW wasn't even the main event iirc

Haha. Well I'm aware that it was during that era that the booking all fell apart to a point of likely no return.

Strictly speaking David Arquette being champ is grossly overrated as being a negative imo, esp those who herald it as the worst thing they ever did. However it was the way it was pulled off with the swerve in the end that made it suck so hard.

If he wins the match in the exact same way pinning Bischoff, doesnt defend it against Abbott then loses it at the next PPV as it happened but against Jarrett who just spends 10 minutes bouncing him off the cage wall, uses the guitar on him and then finally Strokes him for a new champ it could easily be held up as a positive.

Instead they pulled a Russo special where he swerved with a heel turn for no reason on Page playing it up as some master plan to screwjob Page from the title and THAT is why it is so bad.

I mean i dont think they should have done it and Arquette himself was hugely against the angle, but strictly speaking him winning could have ended up no worse than Vince winning and its a mix of Russo style ******o booking combined with results orientated thinking that makes it seem so bad.

i forget where the vegan topic is being discussed, but this thread just about sums up in a nutshell why i hate vegans.

you wanna be vegan? good for u, no big deal, but i have NEVER met a vegan who wasn't overly self-righteous about it and didn't think it made them better than everyone else. gfy *******, i'll enjoy my milk that isn't made from beans and my steak and wings that i will devour tomorrow

I've met one and am now friends with her; she shrugs and says "Oh I used to eat meat, it tastes great, I understand why you do it." If they were all that way then they wouldn't have a bad name. Obviously though, I've met way more who fit your description entirely.

theory: yes, it takes self-control to be a vegan. i would argue it takes MORE self-control NOT to be a vegan. a weak person would look at a PETA video of cows or chickens at slaughterhouses and come away from it thinking OMG I'M NEVER EATING MEAT AGAIN! a stronger person with more self-control comes away from that and think "welp, i want me some chicken tenders"

Notsureifserious.jpg but I laughed anyway.

I don't even know any vegetarians, let alone vegans. I know some people who won't eat beef, but that's more for taste or diet reasons. No one I know is a douche about it.

Having said that, I try to distance myself from jackwagons.

Haha I'm just now realizing that my brother is a vegan and the only one I gave credit to in my above post was a random non-close friend of mine.

I don't think I can call him one of the good ones though, because one time we were at a restaurant and he had the waitress come out and show him the ingredient bag to assure him that it was safe to order something. Yes, this was at least a decade ago, and he's generally chill about his dietary choices, but I don't care, you can't do that and be "one of the good ones." I was rather embarrassed to be at the table with him.

When did the Cena Sucks chants starting getting loud? Watching some random RAW from 08' and it's deafening, even though his opponents are Umaga and Great Khali. Maybe it's just Canada being awesome

Not sure when the actualy Cena sucks chant started, but the booing started in 06 with the Edge feud. Reason for it was Edge represented the attitude era, what wrestling should be and what Cena is not. Everytime Cena is in a feud with someone from the attitude era he gets booed alot more, atleast earlier in his career. Example would be wm22 vs hhh where Cena gets booed like crazy.

Cena in his first long title reign was already getting boos. I specifically remember Edge getting a pretty huge face pop when he cashed in on Cena, even though he might have been the most over heel in the company at that point. Before that they had already been addressing how he was "controversial" on TV.

Yeah I remember going to a RAW in Manchester in 2005 and he was getting plenty of boos and Cena sucks chants then.
