I like that it almost appears as if the WWE are sticking to kayfabe a little bit nowadays. The vast majority of fans don't know that Big Sexy is the head trainer at FCW, let alone that FCW even exists. The casual fan is going to look at that and be legit shocked when Nash inevitably interferes in the HHH vs. Punk match, no matter who he screws over.

I think the right play here is Nash not appearing until Survivor Series and being appointed as a special enforcer for a Team Punk vs. Team H's match, with both sides wondering when he was going to attack and who during the match.

I think that last scenario plays in to the rumour of a Kliq reunion in the center of the ring at the end of SS, which I am actually feeling a little nostalgic about and could actually work on a number of different levels.

There are so many directions they could take this thing right now, and they've done a decent job of solving the "who sent the text" fiasco, while at the same time making it pretty well irrelevant. I actually think creative is stepping up to the plate here, and we're being pretty harsh on them.

I don't think Kev is the head trainer for FCW.

I bet he just stops by to tell Waltman & Hall stories once in a while.

I fail to see any level on which a Kliq reunion works even as a one-off. Esp if punk is in anyway connected to those guys. Old cant-work cant-talk guys need to stay in TNA where careers go to linger on in pathetic perpuity. The E needs to focus on giving their young talent a push.

Yeah, i cant see a kliq or nwo reunion happening on screen, its basically just what TNA did like 6 months ago with the stupid Band faction and it failed pretty good there. They have had to work hard make Nash relevant so they surely dont expect either of the two happening to be over in any way. This counts double given Vince is in a "lets make the young guys stars asap" mood, so unless its a Main Event Mafia scenario where the young guys take out the old guys it aint gonna happen imo.

The story is going team HHH vs team Nash at Survivor Series imo.

As for FCW, i googled around and seems there hasnt been any news since the dirt sheets reported it was expected Nash and Hall would take over day to day operations at FCW so im not sure what, if any, his role is right now.

this has never, ever been reported anywhere.

What do you mean?

Google "Nash Hall FCW" and the first like 5 pages are just dirt sheets saying Nash and Hall are expected to be sent to Florida to sort **** out. All seemingly from the same source as its all worded pretty much the same and all from 9th June.

Which is why i tend to put little stock in rumours and shoulda double checked what i wrote earlier about Nash being in charge down there as i wasnt 100% i was remembering it right.

perhaps you are thinking nash/waltman. all i remember is they were supposed to have some mentoring role, nothing about taking over operations.

Sorry, yes, Waltman not Hall. And yeah, most of the rumour mills were reporting they were expected to take over the day to day operations which is really what is wrong at FCW.

I think the problem isn't FCW per se, it's the attitude that they can take a guy and turn him into a viable professional wrestler in this controlled WWE-lite environment. If the guys did 6 months in FCW, 6 months in Japan, 6 months in Mexico, and finished with another 6 months in FCW before debuting, they'd have some real experience under their belt, and would be forced to learn how to work properly.

Six months in Japan especially will change a wrestler. Usually for the better, sometimes for the dead.

Well, Diaz just pissed away his title shot, if not his entire UFC career.

He no showed the UFC press conference in Vegas today. This follows him no showing in Toronto yesterday, and not returning any phone calls, so he is gone.

GSP now set to fight Carlos Condit at UFC 137.
I was really looking forward to this fight.

Um, does anyone actually know where Diaz is? This sounds like it could be something a little bigger than "Diaz's UFC career is over."

Yeah I was wondering the same thing as Dan.

My first thought was if the guy Benoited himself or something.

I didn't realize Diaz had extreme social anxiety. That **** can be crippling.

Neither did I, probably why he smokes so much pot.
Maybe if he had been more upfront with Dana beforehand they could have worked something out, but to say you'll be there and then just flake is bad for business.

I didn't do any research on Nash taking over FCW and just took what had been mentioned here at face value. Damn you dirtsheets!

This kind of ruins what I had envisioned as a Kliq reunion. Aside from that, there is no way in hell that Scott Hall is going to be anywhere near "walking shape" after looking at some recent Youtube clips of him. Ouch. That guy has got it bad right now. Hard to feel sympathy for someone like that, but just looking at the state of him makes me shake my head.

Without Nash being associated with FCW, and sending that tweet out, it makes it a little more believable that he's actually gone. If the rumours about him being really good with his money are true, then he's not going to cave in on his demands just to get a paycheque. If Nash was being paid by the appearance and they discussed contracts, it actually may not have worked out.

I don't hate Kevin Nash, but I don't think he brings much to the product at his age now. If he is around, I was merely trying to come up with something that would have worked and been entertaining. I would prefer him off of tv, though.

Having said all of that, I'm still with Dan on this one. I don't buy it.

Nash wasn't involved in some small angle. He interfered after the main event of the second biggest PPV of the year, screwing the WWE champion. The idea that Vince would allow something like that to happen without having Nash under contract is crazy.

Also he's been willing to blatantly lie on his Twitter, e.g. before his Royal Rumble appearance.

True, but the idea they would do it without making sure he could pass the physical is just as crazy.

The modern WWE, where the real decisions are insane enough to make the kayfabe ones seem plausible.

I'm aware of all of that, which is why I don't buy it. I was just pointing out that sometimes things do happen.

Don't mean to be a nit but can we please try to keep non-wrestling talk out of this thread? There's been a bit of NFL/college handegg/UFC chat recently and its pretty alienating for those of us who don't follow those sports. It's fine if Lesnar or someone else from the wrestling world is involved, but otherwise let's try to avoid cluttering the thread if possible.
