That's the genius of it. They carried the angle off perfectly without the need for any shoehorned heel turns or weird alliances or anything like that. They just gave the fans what they wanted and kept the characters true to who they are supposed to be.

I want them to sell it hard tomorrow. Have Vince come out, take a Mic and introduce the new WWE champion Alberto Del Rio, who comes out with a new belt and they dont mention Cena or Punk on TV for a few weeks.

If Raw starts with Vince standing in the ring with the attitude era belt I will **** my pants (again).

Perfect booking for every match but orton/christian which was predictable. Now you can have an awesome storyline of "Punk holds the WWE hostage" while the heel ADR acts like he already has the title w/ MITB while Punk/Cena plays out. The two MITB matches were excellent with great spots, esp. loved the double leap frog and barrett going for the case while two people above him were fighting.

Weird how when you have low expectations for a PPV they manage to squeeze under the bar, when one you already have high hopes for goes above and beyond.

I'm so use to them ignoring the my type of fan for years and years then in one month they go back to delivering exactly the product I want. Thank you Vince, this was very entertaining.

From what I'm reading Punk is being advertised for RAW tomorrow.

I would like to say a big FU to wrestlingobserver. They've upgraded their servers after the night that Hogan signed with TNA and Bret Hart returning to Raw so they can handle the traffic, but apparently tonight the traffic even trumps that.

I really want to get on and listen to the audio they have up for tonight's show.

Man I'm torn on this. Of course I want to see him cut a killer promo, but WWE in crisis over Punk (kayfabe) leaving would make for some compelling TV.

I REALLY REALLY wanted Daniel Bryan to cash in tonight, win, and announce that he's leaving with Punk.

Is there somewhere I can go to give WWE money for this PPV? I guess I'll buy it when it comes out on DVD. Biggest complaint I have is the Orton disqualification was so out of character. It would have made so much more sense if the referee got him on those punches where he pretty much gave the full five count.

I think id like to take the opportunity to point out that American Dragon gets a ****ing world title match at some point in the future!

I think ADR is loved enough round here that all the results of the PPV met or exceeded our hopes.

After CM Punk left through the crowd, Vince McMahon stayed on the apron looking out into the crowd for a few minutes before slowly walking towards the back. He waited for Johnny Ace, who was being helped by two referees. Vince then nailed Johnny, laying him out before walking off. That was it.

This show has erased my personal shame that I felt for actually looking forward to it for days.
