Can someone put Matt Z on the wait list for 1/2?

Played yesterday (9/12) - waiting lists were very short all day (<10) with only 11 out of 12 tables open. After dinner a few 1-2 tables broke - my table never got below 8 players. Seemed to be the normal mix of bad and decent players. Floors seemed to be surprised that crowds had left with summer ending. According to one dealer, the poker area is at the entrance where the casino will connect to the new hotel and will most likely be moved. I can't see much table expansion if the crowds aren't there.

You think it might something to do with it being the opening week in the NFL and there are no TV's in the room? Just a thought.

There are TVs in the room - Giants, Patriots and Philly games were on the flat screens. One of the Floors thought bad weather in the area could have also been the reason.

How many tables running total? I heard the dealers have had their hours cut way back.

They hired some more dealers so they aren't working 65-70 hours a week anymore.

So got there Saturday night around 9 and put my name on the 1/2NL list (44 deep) and 3/6 limit (11) and went and played some $25 blackjack. About 5 minutes later I get a blackjack and dealer pays me my $37.50 and scoops my cards. The guy next to me takes his card, then the dealer ends up busting. He starts paying everyone at the table and I guess he puts another $25 in my spot. I wasn't really paying attention so I took it.

5 minutes later the pit boss comes over and says that the eye in the sky noticed I got paid twice, and that my $25 should have gone to the lady sitting next to me, even though she was paid that hand also. So the lady next to me ended up with a free $25. Ended down $137.50.

Got called for 3/6 but no memorable hands. Woman in seat 1 had never played before and was trying to check whenever action was on her, even though there'd be a bet and raise before her. Only won one hand in 45 minutes or so but it was a decent pot.

Got called for 1/2 (2 hour total wait?) and played for about 7 hours. Only remember one hand where I got it all-in on the turn with 9T on an A786 board. Guy had 88 and filled up on the river.

There was a youghish guy who sat down while we were playing, very serious looking (SK). First hand UTG he raises to $25. Guy 2 to his left raises to $75. Serious kid goes all-in for $300, guy calls. Kid has AA, other guy has KK. SK doesn't make any expression or says a word.

A few hands later SK and another guy get it all-in (~$170 each?) on a 5s6s8x flop. Guy has 4s7s, SK has A9o. Turn is a 4, river 7. Dealer pushes SK the pot and SK doesn't say a word or any expression. Other guy starts saying "really? really? really? really?" over and over. One of the worst beats I've seen live.

A few hands later one guy goes all-in for $27, SK calls, Asian kid who's decent (DA) goes all-in over the top for $140, SK calls. DA shows A9, SK shows A4. DA's A9 hold up with A high (9 plays). SK racks up and leaves up like $400. Never said one word the entire time. Strange dude.

Had a lot of fun even though it was one of those nights where the flop missed me all the time and I never hit any of my straight/flush draws. Ended down ~$360 on the trip, including BJ losses.

While we're playing a guy sits down at the table next to us (a 3/6 limit table) with 12 racks of white chips. Starts taking them out building one of the coolest spiral tower I've ever seen. I guess it gave him something to do while playing. By the time he was done the table just about broke up so he had to take it down.

Pretty cool stack, also pretty funny buying in for 1200 in a 3/6 game

Where was this construction? Only Eastbound? Between what PA exits?

Is it still going.. any idea when it will end?

thanks.

Thats the 3rd time that kid has built that spiral tower, that I know of, I was at his table a few weeks ago and next to your story I heard another one of my friends say he played at their table last Tuesday.

There was a gentleman playing 2-5 on Sunday that could have built that tower with all the chips he had won. We guessed he had around $4,000 in front of him - not bad for a $500 start!!

Y, I was playing at the table across from him. Think he had closer to $6k when I checked it out. It was a crazy game. He was on a nice run. Within 1orbit he caught a set of K and a flush, both with cards in the zone.

5/10 is uncapped and may run ~once a week (obviously Friday and Saturday evenings/nights)

5/5 $300-$1k buyin runs more frequently

There are three hotels that I know of that are the closest. The Holiday Inn right near the Route 412 exit of Interstate 78 (I think that might actually be in Hellertown) the Comfort Suites on Third Street in Bethlehem and the Hotel Bethlehem. None of these three are in walking distance of the casino unless you consider three or more miles walking distance. Also you might want to check out the Lehigh Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau web site at www.lehighvalleypa.org. You can find more hotels and other attractions in the surrounding area on that site. Good luck.
