So got there Saturday night around 9 and put my name on the 1/2NL list (44 deep) and 3/6 limit (11) and went and played some $25 blackjack. About 5 minutes later I get a blackjack and dealer pays me my $37.50 and scoops my cards. The guy next to me takes his card, then the dealer ends up busting. He starts paying everyone at the table and I guess he puts another $25 in my spot. I wasn't really paying attention so I took it.
5 minutes later the pit boss comes over and says that the eye in the sky noticed I got paid twice, and that my $25 should have gone to the lady sitting next to me, even though she was paid that hand also. So the lady next to me ended up with a free $25. Ended down $137.50.
Got called for 3/6 but no memorable hands. Woman in seat 1 had never played before and was trying to check whenever action was on her, even though there'd be a bet and raise before her. Only won one hand in 45 minutes or so but it was a decent pot.
Got called for 1/2 (2 hour total wait?) and played for about 7 hours. Only remember one hand where I got it all-in on the turn with 9T on an A786 board. Guy had 88 and filled up on the river.
There was a youghish guy who sat down while we were playing, very serious looking (SK). First hand UTG he raises to $25. Guy 2 to his left raises to $75. Serious kid goes all-in for $300, guy calls. Kid has AA, other guy has KK. SK doesn't make any expression or says a word.
A few hands later SK and another guy get it all-in (~$170 each?) on a 5s6s8x flop. Guy has 4s7s, SK has A9o. Turn is a 4, river 7. Dealer pushes SK the pot and SK doesn't say a word or any expression. Other guy starts saying "really? really? really? really?" over and over. One of the worst beats I've seen live.
A few hands later one guy goes all-in for $27, SK calls, Asian kid who's decent (DA) goes all-in over the top for $140, SK calls. DA shows A9, SK shows A4. DA's A9 hold up with A high (9 plays). SK racks up and leaves up like $400. Never said one word the entire time. Strange dude.
Had a lot of fun even though it was one of those nights where the flop missed me all the time and I never hit any of my straight/flush draws. Ended down ~$360 on the trip, including BJ losses.
While we're playing a guy sits down at the table next to us (a 3/6 limit table) with
12 racks of white chips. Starts taking them out building one of the coolest spiral tower I've ever seen. I guess it gave him something to do while playing. By the time he was done the table just about broke up so he had to take it down.
