thanks for advice, looks like the 15 trolley is best, plus its a night owl route and runs all night.

Good idea to have the midnight tournament.

Wish it was on nights other than Saturday, though

Whoa...Saturday midnight madness? Nice! Now that's late Saturday night correct?

Love the 7pm $5k on Fridays too.

ksidrew - Thank-you for the post. We've made it a feature game on Wednesdays. We've gotten a couple 6-12 HOE going. With Half Rake on Sundays and Tuesdays we will probably see more activity. We can get you on a list of players we text when one is about to begin. Raye

Unfortunately, the game hasn't gone (at least I haven't see it go in person or on Bravo) since those first couple of nights. ... At this point, the room is pretty much NL and the occasional PLO.

Perhaps making the HORSE game a 10/20 or even 15/30 might attract more players.

Do you think the serious players it attracts would outnumber the "oh hell, I'll give it a try" players that would buy in for $200 in the 6/12 and splash around a bit?

Good question. I think the problem is limit games and mixed games haven't taken off at SH. And I honestly don't think they ever will.

The casual poker player tends to be romanced by NL. It's what they see on TV, it's what they consider poker to be. This despite the fact that many recognizable TV pros actually cut their teeth in Limit Hold 'Em. Hell, when I lived in Vegas in early 2005, limit was THE game of choice. I often played at the Mirage (huge for poker back then), where there would be four to five 10/20 games going, an 8/16 game or two, a 20/40 game, a 40/80 game ... and maybe two to three 1/2 NL games.

With respect to PLO and Omaha Hi/Lo, I will never understand why people would rather see two cards instead of four. Omaha and PLO are so much more fun to play, so one would think the casual player would want to learn them.

I do actually. The higher the game the more likely it would play short, and thus eventually get legs and go x day y time. Once it's up and running, people will take those shots, not like the old days(2005) but sometimes. fwiw if it was 15/30 or in the area i'd consider playing. i'm sure one or two others would be enticed if it was going semi regularly. I don't know if i'd make a drive down there on the whim it would go for 2 or 3 hours. When I know I can go to parx and play limit(like a good old guy)

Not to derail the thread. The game is better served at a place where there is an established pool of limit and o8/e players. It rarely(hoe/hose) gets going there, but it is after all these days a niche game.

So in summation. Higher limits would be more likely to stabilize said game, but it's still a long shot to get real traction whether it's 4/8, 6/12 or 15/30.

Out of curiosity. What was the rake on 6/12 10% to 5? Would there a limit where it would time collection at SH?

It's $2 the first four hours on all limit games I believe, then $4 every 30 minutes if 6 or more players and $2 if 5 or less.

well I'm partial to SH since it's in my neighborhood, but I don't wanna play NL. I would play 15/30 HORSE, but not HOE or OE. I'm not always available to play, but when I am I can be there in 10 mins

Monday night $100 mixed S&G sounds good to me. I can be there by 6pm. Are mixed S&Gs approved? What mix?

Hello everyone. Yes we are able to run mixed sit n go's with buy-ins ranging from $50, $100, $200, $350, $500, and $1000. To further define a mixed sit n go, are we talking about an O.E. mix, or just a PLO or Omaha Hi-lo sit n go. Either way we are good to go, but just want to see what is preferred. Thanks, Raye.

I'm good for a Monday 6pm S&G for $100 or 50. I'll play any of these mixes. Only 8 spots left. You guys better commit early.

Thank-you for the question. We've had two so far and had a good turn out. The Friday night is structured like our Wednesday night tournament that gets between 70 - 90. Based on that one the final table shouldn't go past 2:00am.
