The Seminole casinos have both poker rooms and slots and video poker as well, obviously. Any licensed cardroom at a pari-mutuel that is outside Miami-Dade or Broward county is currently free from slot machines and video poker. They just have lotto vending machines and tableside pari-mutuel wagering.

You can find stud and o8 at many of the cardrooms, but almost always only limit games - usually 2/4 for stud and 3/6 or 4/8 for o8.

Was an invited guest to a playday at Best Bet J'ville last night. With two colleges nearby and being so close to the Navy base the new room is going to be a great place to play poker. You only have to be 18 to play in Florida. Only 15 minutes from the airport also. The tables are slightly over-sized so there is more room per player and lots of room between tables. The players chairs are very comfortable they raise/lower and are on rollers. There are sensors in the table that read your player's card as soon as you set it on the table (RFID) so the dealer doesn't have to swipe it or push buttons (or forget to), that should speed the game a bit. The absent buttons and reserved buttons (for empty seats) are also RFID and relay the information to one of the three podiums instantly. TV's everywhere. There is an elevated top section with six tables, a high-limit room with one table, twenty tables are dedicated to tournaments (no shuffle machines on them) and can be used for live action if needed, seventy-one tables total. Dealers carry their own racks and shouldn't have to get fills very often if at all. Cocktail waitresses were very friendly, efficient and attractive. Chip runners were johnny-on-the-spot. Dealers in general were experienced but there are some new dealers also. They were able to deal and run the game and with time will only improve. There was free sushi prepared on-site at the sushi bar. There is also espresso, cappuccino, etc... at the coffee bar. Can't wait for March 1st!

Crazy turnout on thursday...I was literally blown away by how many people were there. I would guess 50 tables were running.

look and see if they have a $1-5 stud game, (most casinos do not anymore) a $1-2 PLO or PLO8 game, (also rare) and if u can get a safe deposit box without having to be a hotel guest. (would be nice if i was living in an unsafe motel by the week and commuting on public transit). and thanks for reporting back to us later

Does anyone else HATE the color of the tables at the new room? The bright orange or yellow or whatever it is gives me a headache after a whiled, especially with how well lit up the tables are.
