I don't know why someone who was sexually assaulted would want to talk to security as opposed to the police.

I generally ignore the food runners and instead order on the shake shack app, then walk over and pick up my order when it is ready. Zero fuss, zero frustration, and I never mind taking a short break to walk over there.

Not sure if you're serious, but if you are send me a PM and I'll explain instead of derailing the thread further.

If there's an app to order food from the food court (taco place and banh mi place) and pay for it with your poker comps I'd be more than happy to follow suit.

I do the same thing, but the downside is that I have to pay for it (i.e. not using comps).

Anyone point me to some more info about this charity tournament going on this weekend? I saw a structure sheet that looked lolbad but might take a punt for fun. Unclear on payouts (if any) though. WSOP main seat to winner? Anything else?

Chance for Life is the name of the organization, and it's a childhood cancer charity. The event is $350 with $350 rebuys for the first 3 hours. Very fast structure. Entry in the event includes open bar, access to food tasting featuring all restaurants on the property, and a huge after party in the theater. More details are available at chance for life website.

Looks like a lot of information is available here...

https://501auctions.com/chanceforlife/tickets?type=6390

...but I don't see specifics re the tournament itself, e.g., what portion of the $438 goes to the prize pool, what portion is tax deductible, etc. (I do see that 1st place gets a $10k WSOP seat, but no other prizes are listed.) If you don't have that info no problem, but if you do happen to know I'd appreciate you posting it when you get a chance. Thanks!

Apparently the celebrity MC for the tournament is none other than Phillip Jerome Hellmuth, Jr. I heard about it on the radio this morning.

I just played one of their daily tournaments on Thursday (We chopped 3 ways) and here is my general review:

- Decent tournament staff (friendly)
- Deep stack and reasonable structure, although 15m blinds seem to move fast... worth it so it doesnt drag game on much beyond 6hrs.
- Field was reasonably soft when I played. There were a few that understood tournaments beyond basic fundamentals
- Never saw issues with drink or food service. Although not as frequent as Aria (LV), but also no one died.of starvation or dehydration

PLO cash games were insanely good too. MD has their share of punters/gamblers. Several people didnt know how to count blockers, implied odds, etc and played their hand (rather than playing opponents).

That's all for now. Next time Im in the area I will def play again.

As of when I played last night, they are not. Only the 5/5 or a time raked games I've seen as a must move. I've seen the 5-card a must move sometimes but not others. I'll let JG or someone else chime in if there is an official rule on this though.

Played last night and most amazing thing... Young lady was a food server and walked around all tables carrying a menu and asking if anyone wanted to order. Saw her at least 8x. I didn't even order but tipped her for being so proactive.

Whaaaat? Sat 1/3 whilst waiting for a 2/5 seat to open up on Thurs afternoon and this confused/surprised me: utg fold, utg +1 makes it $5 to go? I asked the dealer if it had to be raise to $6 but was told no, raising to $5 was ok. I mean in 2/5 you can't make it $8 to go. In 5/10 you can't make it $15. Is this a mistake or a rule unique to MGM (or to 1/3 in general?) I meant to ask the floor at some point but never got around to it. 2/5 game was pretty good btw.

I extracted the discussion re whether the stakes and amount of money at issue should matter when making rulings because it was taking on a life of its own and, as such, it should have its own thread.

Saw the same thing last night. 1/3 game guy says 5 and tosses in a red chip. Someone said wait a minute and dealer said - Yeah has to be 6.

Also another fun button in the wrong seat. BB says - wait I was BB last hand after fold, fold, raise to 10, fold, call, call, fold, fold. He wouldn't go on. I told him - too much action already, you can call the floor and have him tell you it's too much action or you can just act. He asked for the floor who told him too much action already.

Funny how these same situations come up all the time and are handled pretty smoothly 99% of the time.
