I hit the $300 High Hand last night at 2:59:05. Flopped SF to the Q with J9dd. Shoved $750 into $50 at $1/2. 1 guy tanked then PFR sat there and I told him to fold. Luckily a Supervisor was close by and I was able to soulcrush the Quad Js guy who had the HH for the previous 50 minutes.

Congratulations. Though if he was considering a call, you might have won more than 300 with the pot depending how deep he was.

Just curious before I talk to the rewards desk. Sometimes they are clueless.

I had a similar problem and the wrong status card was sent to me. I called on the phone and was directed to talk to the Rewards Desk in person. I went there today and they were very knowledgeable and corrected the mistake. I was issued new cards and received the correct Streak bonus. (Platinum vs. Gold). They also were very knowledgeable about the poker room as it relates to the promotions and card status. I was very pleased by the customer service I received at the Rewards desk.

Shaking my head. How would you feel if someone did that to you? You couldn't wait for the next hour of the high hand to start and with a chance of getting called and winning more money.

Definitely -ev play. Not much chance of being beaten in next hour high hand.

Guess I should've put more info in my post in order to not be critiqued. PFR only had $125 and had checked. 1 other player had $300 and other 2 had shorter stacks. Also next HH was K hi SF so...I'll take my free buyin every time.

What machines are some good options for using the $100 free slot play streak bonus? I don't play slots so I have no idea.

I've always used the Video Poker machines in the Center Stage Bar area. Not top payouts (7-5 J's or better), but probably still better than any slot. I definitely got pretty lucky last year, but only once didn't get 90% of the $$$ that I transferred into the game. As a first-time platinum, I'd guess I pulled about $850+ out through various offers through the year. I'll miss that shiny platinum card...

Ty for the info. I used the roulette system last year, before they nerfed it. Video poker sounds like the most sensical as your best, low variance bet

I'm finding video roulette and putting the entire $100 on black...free money after all

almost half on red, almost half on black, a small amount on green. A zero variance method of converting most of the slot play into cash.

So that method is illegal or not allowed?

I think those roulette machines don't take slot play anymore? Casinos don't want you doing that with the free slot play, they want you to "gamble" with it.

Yup I knew this conversation was familiar, lol.

I really wish they would seed the bbj with more money initially, 20k really isn't all that much and it takes a long time to grow because of all the mini bad beats that are hit.

That's the spirit, gl. I generally like to just find a slot machine with a big giant chair near the aisle. One with lots of things going on. And then just mash the max bet button until I can turn it all into real dollars. It gives you something to do while you are on a waitlist. Last year I was able to cash out more than the full amount, this time around I was closer to %75. Hopefully I'll run good again in August.

I had a similarly pleasant experience at the desk. I'm actually surprised at how many poker players never seem to venture over and take advantage of the promotions the casino has to offer.

I'd rather get rid of the mega and loosen up the mini to maybe losing with any full house. When someone who is not a reg hits it huge all that jackpot money leaves. I'd rather have the money go to those whI paid in. Or get rid of it entirely.

I'd argue that having a decent sized jackpot draws people in who wouldn't otherwise be playing, but maybe I'm wrong. I guess it's always a balance.

This is obviously the conventional wisdom, but I'd be interested to see if there is any actual data to back up this claim and/or see how it compares to other uses of promotional funds. I'm sure almost no one has that information though.

I haven't yet had my morning coffee or ADHD medication, but I have no idea how they would even go about collecting that kind of quantitative data

Mike,

Just wanted to say thanks for the Omaha appreciation weeks. That seemed to bring in some new players into the game. It would be great if this could be done again in the next few months.

Thanks!
