I don't think MD Live publishes tournament structure sheets for some reason, but they are available in the poker room. To my memory, the levels go as follows:

25/50
50/100
75/150
100/200

etc. at 20 minute levels you should be OK getting there an hour late but the structure is not favorable to late entries/late re-buys

4th level. You will always start with a fresh stack.

It might be a little tight, but, even in level 4 the starting stack is still pretty decent.

The only thing I would be worried is if there is too much interest they might be a list for the alternates.

IME floor has been quick moving me to a new table. Of course I'm playing 1-2 so there are always a few empty seats for the floor to quickly find.

Typically I ask for a change and they instantly tell me to go to table X.

Dont forget to get your thanksgiving vouchers. Free roasting pan, free 10-12lb turkey, and a pie. 10 hours of play in November required. You have to pick them up different days but whatever I'll probably be there anyway. You can print them at the kiosks.

Also, yeah it really sucks about the platinum thing resetting at the end of the year. I'll be around 210,000-220,000. I know it's standard but since the poker room opened late in the year and I didn't get my card until then (and it "expires" 2/28/2014) it would be cool if they could do something for the new players. Maybe extend it until the card expires? Its gonna leave a bad taste in my mouth if I have to start at 0 at the beginning of the new year.

I don't think it's been mentioned in here amongst the other complaints and suggestions but the new table number signs are great. Good choice finding a design that blend in well. It's a big help to non regs and waitresses.

Made my first visit to MD Live today. It was great seeing some of my friends from CT who have made the move up there, and also some familiar dealers. I won't bother with a detailed TR, but I was impressed with the room and the action. If it wasn't for the distance, I'd be up there all the time. But I live in Leesburg so Charles Town will remain my primary poker room, just because it's 27 (easy) miles vs. 46 (hard) miles. I just really hated having to travel the Beltway and 95.

I had a great first session at 1/2. Five hours with a win rate >$100/hr. And I made more in comps during that five hours than I've made in three years at Charles Town.

One regret: I wish I had a chance to meet Mike. Very impressed with his presence on this forum and his responsiveness to posts here. I'll definitely be back, but just not as often as I'd like.

Ooops - my bad. I meant $5 and $6 per *HAND*, not per hour. Sorry.

Saw they had 15-30 Omaha last night...new Thursday night thing or random occurrence? Any chance of seeing it over the weekend?

As I mentioned previously Tropicana does this at AC. It is a little incentive for the tournament players to keep coming back and also not feel devastated with a bad beat in the tournament.

Thanks,

That is a possibilty at some point

Thank you. Things aren't always as quick as we would like, but a nice job was done. Now for the second floor

Heading to Maryland Live for the first time tonight. Does anyone know if you can call ahead to get your name on the wait list for games? Do you need a casino player card in order to sit at the poker tables?

Thanks for the help in advance!

Was it a full table? Any on wait list? lots of regs?
I might be stopping by for this game. Why we can't get it going on Saturday is disappointing.

You can call ahead to put your name on lists for 2/5 and higher. The phone number is on the website or in the first post of this thread. You don't need a card to play cash games but you do get about $1/hr towards food or drinks for having one and it doesn't take long to get.

We were actually playing plo8 and it got down to 3 handed so we switched it to 15/30 limit. Filled up in 30 min. There were a few names on the list at one point Played 8 handed for a while and when I left at 330 am it was still 6 or 7 handed.

I would b able to make some Saturdays.

I didn't get there until about 2:30am and we played 7-8 handed for several hours. I'm pretty sure it was a full table beforehand. I recognized a couple of the players but it def wasn't all regulars. I would prefer to play on Saturday but Thursday seemed to work for everyone there. I'm not sure when it started but I know the one guy wanted it to get started earlier, like 3pm. Maybe someone else can chime in on when it started but I'm assuming around 7-8pm.

Have to check in at the brush stand within 30 minutes or you are removed.

I'm up for playing the 15/30 o8 game this Saturday if we can get enough players. It'd be sweet if we could get a regular Thurs. and a Saturday game going.

If you guys really want to get a bigger limit OE game going than someone should really take the lead on organizing it like foobar did with the bigger limit games. There are people out there who are willing to play the game if it is running but they don't like driving to the casino only to find out that the game isn't even running. Checking bravo also isn't on everyone's agenda. I am not really interested in playing so I am only suggesting this for someone else to do, take it for what it's worth.

Just got bit in the ass by "chip runners with no markers" system. This was at a 5/T table fwiw.

I come back from dinner and buy the button. I get into a hand with another player who has about 200 in chips in front of him. I call his all in on the flop, I lose, and than I find out....he had another 500 behind that i was completely unaware of. Apparently, this had been announced two hands prior when I was not at the table and I was forced to call the extra 500.

Something needs to be done about this. I suggest abolishing the chip runners entirely if lammers aren't going to be used.

It is unacceptable for players to have more chips behind than is presented, unless a readily visible marker is available to make it known to others.

Wow I usually think most people on here are just big babys but yours might be the first legitmate gripe. Maybe dealers need to announce player X $ behind every deal until they get there chips.
BTW what is a 5/T table?
