Do you guys have jackets for the, ahem, more cold weather ready crowd (XXXL)?

Just curious.

The poker room could really use a better mix of limit poker games. The stakes are either really low (4/8) or really high (50/100).

Are there any plans on getting a consistent 10/20 or 8/16 limit game going? They should be able to get the players. There were 4, 4/8 tables and 1, 20/40 this weekend. There should be enough players to get a game going somewhere in b/w those stakes.

This has been discussed ad nauseam. Maryland live does everything in its power to get the games going, they even have featured limit games on bravo. If you want to start a game put your name on the list and be willing to play short handed. The 20/40 game is going pretty well on Friday and Saturday if you want to play those stakes.

I was #12 on the list for 10/20 limit at 1:30 Saturday. I asked the front desk if they would be calling a game since there were enough names on the list. They said there weren't enough tables. They should reserve a few tables for a mixed spread of limit games. Don't have 4 tables of 4/8.

One thing I noticed is that people get registered for multiple games just so they can play at whatever becomes available. Once they re seated at a table however, they are not unregistered from the other games. Their name then gets called in vain and time is wasted for other players who want to play.

I think that will really make the process more efficient is if someone wrote a smartphone app. You could still go up to the desk to register in order to show you re physically present, but instead of being called from a microphone, you might get an instant notification on your phone.

Since I am guessing that there are some people who decide to do something else once they registered and time passed by, they would have to actively acknowledge the notification within 5 minutes in order to have their seat reserved.

Moreover, if you are registered through an app, the system should be able to see you are registered in multiple games and automatically unregister you from the other games once you re seated. Unless you make the proactive step of confirming registration for a different game that is.

I can't imagine that this is too hard of an app to write and implement.

Bravo already does this. Register your cell phone number with the brush and you'll get texted when your seat opens.

Mike,
Remember when you were the poker room manger in Pompano Beach, Florida. Today it's 83° F and Sunny.
Good Luck

Also some people register for multiple stakes on purpose. I register for 2/5 waiting for 5/10. I wouldn't want my name automatically removed from 5/10 when my 2/5 seat became available.

I do this. Also, when I'm in a game I know I want to stay in, I'll call for a floor and ask them to remove me from the other games.

If everyone would do this we would all benefit.

Please add cost as a factor when answering the above. There are hotels that have a relationship with the casino listed on the website but the most I saw was 20% off the standard hotel rates. Looking for quality but inexpensive.

Mike - is 8/16 no longer available to request to start a list (is it specifically 4/8, 10/20, and up from there)?

Anyone interested in getting a weekly 8/16 and/or 10/20 game going, PM me. Last week I saw on bravo 10/20 went Friday night but game broke by 7.

GolfPro secured his Jacket today!

From the looks there seems to be decent number of jackets left. So, no need for a stampede.

If you want to see how many left take a look behind in the room on the upstairs podium.

Thanks Mike!

How does the time rake work in higher limit games? Is it player time or time pot? How much is the time rake for 10/20 and 20/40 limit?

I know that 50/100 is $7 per half hour and I think that 20/40 is as well. No idea about 10/20.

If I knew an 8-16 game would go through the night, I may have snowed myself in the casino. Wonder how many are playing it

We offer 10-20 now in LHE. Going to 20-40 and 10-20 made no sense in offering 8-16. We can revisit in the future, but for now that's the plan

FYI -Hopefully I won't get a warning for this for public service announcement, but due to the inclement weather, we are canceling today's Poker Tournaments. We will resume normal operations on Friday, unless we get another foot of snow

Thanks

I meant no need to rush to get a jacket there are a lot of them left in different sizes.

Mike, that would be too much of a scrutiny on 2+2 if you are not able to post even the public service announcements.
