I once saw a mythical figure coming out of the smoke filled casino this past weekend and I asked another fellow patron waiting at the front desk who that was and they said that's the poker room manager but he soon disappeared back in the smoke when he realized there was a waiting list of 100 plus on the 1-2 list

The low limit lists will likely be shorter now that the bad beat was hit.

Just saw that the bad beat jackpot hit. Anyone know day/time/game/dealer/hands involved? I'm always curious when I've contributed so much to that drop!

So the big one hit over the weekend at a 4-handed $3/$6 limit game. Then it hit the next Monday at a $1/$2 NL. So I was gone for a week and it hit twice. FML...

Heard it was a must move and a player had just racked up to leave. The table slipped him some cash as well.

Not bad 4-handed ... 3 @ 20% and 1 @ 40% ... GL

I was in the room when it hit. 6-7amish. QQ v AA. flop was QQxAA.

Dude with QQ was waiting for a 1/2 seat and just sat at 3/6 to kill time. lol.

Call me a nit, but how can 3/6 share the same BBJ as 1/2 and 2/5? the NL games have to contribute at least 90% of the promo money no?

That's only because there are more NL games running. LHE players are contributing just as much to the drop per hour (if not more, because of the faster pace of the game).

The circuit started today & wait times for cash games were longer than normal. Several tables were occupied by a main event super satellite (instead of the normal Thurs tourney). By evening, some of the out-of-town dealers were working cash games. They realllllllllly make you appreciate the normal Horseshoe dealers. Wow.

It's the Chicago Poker Classic, not the WSOPc, but poker is poker. Main Event will Final Table on Monday March 13th.

Lots of good tournaments (and structures) with a few WSOP Main Event seats sprinkled in there! GL

If you go to the poker link on the web site you need to click on each event's name to get the specifics, including structure. I think most, if not all, of the events start at Noon local time.

I would assume that right now I'm too late to help anyone avoid a 50+ wait list. GL

I was there last night and the list were not terrible they have like 6 tables outside the room for cash. They brought in a ton of dealers from the outside

Confirmed.

I got there around 9:00 pm, on Friday night, and it took about 20-25 minutes to get a 2/5 seat. The lists were moving and they weren't breaking tables or not sitting people, which has been the norm lately. Maybe management is starting to get their act together....

If only this place could get some NEW CHAIRS!!! The chairs in the poker room are the absolute nut low.

After all, BBJP is player funded. I hit a table share 1 time in STL. a few years back at a 3-6 limit game at the Harrahs. BBJP was 124k and table share was $8k. The regulars there ( I am not a reg) were trying to convince everyone to put in $800 each. I tipped what I felt was appropriate and had no regrets the next morning.

Good luck to all playing CPC.
