I know this isn't necessarily poker room related however I was @ Hollywood last night and saw posters for a MMA fight on 5/28. I checked there website today and couldn't find any info about it. Does anyone know if they are having fights next weekend? If so where do we go to get info / buy tickets / ect?

Tuesday through Thursday equals lots and lots of regulars. The quality of play is much better than on Fridays and Saturdays. I would suggest you play a few short sessions and see what you think. It's probably a good idea to play those sessions like a rock and see if you can remember how some people play. It took me about 120-150 hours to learn a lot about most of the reg's and I still have trouble with some.

I was down this weekend and played some 1/2 and 1/3 NLHE. Is it just my imagination, or are the 1/3 players exponentially better than the 1/2? Or would it have just been my table?

well they used to only have 1/3 and no 1/2 and 1/3 was very soft. Now that they have both id imagine all the 1/3 fish are just playing 1/2.

I can confirm that 1/2 PLO went down last night, and also last Saturday night.

I can also confirm that I am very bad at PLO.

The Badbeat jackpot was hit this afternoon shortly after the 11:15am tourney started.
Aces Full of Queens vs. quad queens. It was in the $130,000 range. It was fun to witness it with all the screaming and hollering. lol

That was super crazy - awesome use of technology (I guess they really can do all that), esp. with the voice recording and the GPS on the car.

I like the fact they have all this evidence so the crooks will not be able to weasel out of this now.

Why does it seem like it was just the Cincinnati Police that were working on this though?

Im guessing cause the crimes were commited in cincy, thus giving jurisdiction to cincy?

I've seen other articles that mention it was a multi-jurisdictional task force; I imagine Cincinnati took the lead simply because they're the biggest and have the most experience in staging operations like this. At any rate, it was certainly a fine bit of police work by all involved.

Just booked a hotel room near the Cincy airport for tomorrow night so I will be there playing tomorrow night and will be playing the tourney on Sunday

Anyone know how long it usually lasts? I've been meaning to play for a long time, just been pretty lazy
