I'm speaking in general as far as my numerous trips go, I dont doubt there is some talent floating around down there. Not sure I would say harder, maybe nittier?? Either way, hope I can make it down.

No, not nittier, easier. There is more fish per good player in almost every low buy in WSOP event than you will find in the Cincy monthly plus the WSOP structures are short, so it's harder to push edges. Variance is obviously higher, but overall skill is going to be lower. The good news is that most tournament players in general are awful at poker.

Had a good time yesterday fellas (lost all of my buy-ins for the day, but still enjoyed it).

The reviews of the casino were right on with plenty of cash games to choose. Regular tourney has horrible structure. Definitely a waste of $80. I could have done better putting $80 on "red". Almost got a freeroll for the $400, which looks like to be a well run tourney.

Just wanted to say "thanks" to the regs and staff. Probably be back next year when I come back to the area for July 4th weekend.

The Friday $80 you played in is a "Turbo" hence the bad structure. The Tues & Thursday nights are better structures as well as the Sunday.

Just saw Labor Day deepstack 500K guarantee with 100K guarantee up top.

Can't find any other details on the website, but sounds like my kind of game.

I know you saw this, but for everybody else, August 27th - September 1st. Bravo app says details coming soon.

I was wondering when we'd get another big tournament. Hopefully the WSOP will be back in Sept-Oct as well!

Does anyone have details on this $500K? I see nothing on the website and bravo doesn't give details. Buy in, structure, etc, thanks.

With it starting on a Wednesday it's obvious multiple day 1's, it says deepstack so I'll throw out an UNEDUCATED guess.

$450 Buy In, 15k starting stack, 40 min levels.

Hopefully it isn't another $260 reentry/ bring your best stack/ get money fo cashing things. Those tournaments are dumb.

I think that would be difficult to facilitate being a deepstack n all. Will be interesting, rebuys will definitely be in the structure...that's a big guarantee.

Yeah, assuming it's unlimited reentry for sure. I just hope it's not like the one in March. None the less, I'm excited! I don't get to travel around to many good live MTTs because of my job so it's nice when they are within a few hour drive.

saw this on bravo, obviously no info on horseshoe cincy website yet, did a quick google search, saw this page for information on a "$200 satellite to labor day main event" http://www.pokeratlas.com/poker-tour...ti?topid=97564

looks like its a $1500 buyin. if so, definitely excited for this event assuming the structure is good. see you guys there.

edit:

found this page right after posting this.

looks like a quick mini series, $300 plo with a 30k guarantee, $1500 main, and a $200/300 turbo. fun weekend!

Nice work finding these, also I'm sure the Shoe will be giving away a fair amount of seats from the promotional fund. You locals are lucky, everything about the Shoe from a management standpoint DESTROYS Hollywood Cbus.

If it is indeed a $1,500 I'm very excited!! I'm surprised that they'd have a buy in that high outside of an "event" though.

Cincy's poker room manager does an amazing job. He came from Hammond and was awesome up there as well.

Edit: Just looked at the schedule from the link and it looks pretty cool! the $300 $30K PLO should be a good one.

Posted on the casino website now. Structure looks very good - I don't see a single level skipped. Plus I'm a big fan of lengthening the levels as the tournament progresses.

I envision making my first trip down to the Cincinnati poker room for this event.

Even outside of the event it's a very nice room, well run, and has good action. You'll be pleased. It's going to be a good few months in the IN/OH area from the end of August until the middle of October with this and 2 WSOP circuit stops in the area!!

Do they have automatic shufflers in the tables in the banquet rooms for these tournaments?
