No one will be able to get to their boxes until the casino opens...whenever that will be.

Please define nobody and force. ;-)

true that creditors basically have to play ball with the casino.

Indian tribes are so Erne but so are states and both are subject to federal bankruptcy court. Ther is certainly plent6 of discrepncicies between trial and appellate courts but not on that point. Entire tribes could go bankrupt and certainly many tribal businesses have entered bankruptcy, some voluntarily some forced

A quick google search will show you are wrong in this statement.

Try googling for tribal business ventures for BKs. I am on a pad and my cut n paste skills are minimal. But there are plenty of actual cases. 6our link appears to point one a completely non binding opinion.

As to a state filing BK we might get an actual opportunity due to the virus. But two things to consider. Can state business ventures go bk. If a state unilaterally restructures 5heir debt obligations is that a defacto bk?

Mitch McConnell begs to differ.

Current state of things:

All shows and events cancelled until June.
All hotels closed through May 21.
Pequot hotel can be booked May 22 through June 4.
All hotels open up June 5.

All of these dates of course can end up getting pushed back even more. It looks like whenever they do open back up they will attempt a limited re-opening for 2 weeks before a full re-open, with this limited re-opening looking like they are trying for May 22.

I think everyone got an email about this, but they are extending your tier status through March 2021 (so automatic renewal for Apr20-Sep20 and Oct20-Mar21 periods). And they are carrying over your Oct19-Mar20 tier credits to the Apr20-Sep20 period. So once they do reopen, you will have a head start toward upgrading your status.

back in day my clothes always reeked of cigarette smoke even after sitting in non smoking poker room. This means the smoke was moving through air of casino. Now imagine a virus doing the same. Unless of course masks are required upon reopening.

Got an email this morning from Foxwoods... all hotel reservations through May 30th are now cancelled!!! I had every weekend in May booked.

Not a good sign that they are cancelling them this far out (as opposed to the standard 2 week increments)... tells me they may be expecting this to go on for alot longer.

There goes labor day weekend and the opening weekend of the Fox Tower pool where waitress's in bikini's visit me at my chair and ask if I'd like another cocktail... This last part makes me very sad

If this virus is capable of being viably suspended in the air long enough to work its way through large rooms, then anything short of a hazmat mask ain't gonna do anybody any good. Fortunately, that doesn't appear to be the case, but I'm not sure there is any definitive literature out there.

I'm assuming your rooms were booked at Fox Tower? If so then that makes sense, it jives with what I posted about earlier:

Though these dates have changed. Now it's Pequot only 5/25-6/18 and others open 6/19.

In more positive news, those reports out of Korea about ppl getting reinfected have proven false. So it's one and done for this virus, meaning worst case this shitshow is gonna last ~2 years at most, till everyone gets it or there's a vaccine.

yeah, that's not what I would regard as definitive.

For sure, it's too early for anything to be definitive, but it's definitely concerning.

I think the idea that you can contract this virus from someone who is simply breathing in the vicinity might have merit, if not definitive proof yet. And if that ends up being the case, then the notion of generic lockdowns will have been proven extremely wrong-headed.

Really this should be posted in every thread but the first poker room opening announcement (as far as I know) was made with Derby Lane in FL opening a week from tomorrow. Whoa!! http://www.derbylanepoker.com/

No words on restrictions, table max, etc but these Florida mutants are now everyones guinea pig. Worth following and worth rooting hard for them to have a smooth opening and throughout their first month of operation. Can't stress enough how huge (and potentially detrimental if things go wrong) this news is for the future of live poker.

Their thread is worth a daily follow. https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/1...mpa-fl-826980/

Please don't. Anyone who is interested in what other poker rooms are doing should already be regularly reading the coronavirus threads in CCP.

No, absolutely not. Was only stressing that this news is enormous for all the rooms future prospects, both good and bad.
