It went down at 5pm Monday and was scheduled to come back up Tuesday 10am. They're gonna be 48 hours late lol. I knew the chances of it being back at 10am Tuesday were 0%. The place is so incompetent.

So the new reservation system is up and running and it ****ing sucks. Now when you go to book a room you can only search by 1 hotel at a time instead of seeing all available rooms for that date. What a pain in the ass.

That's a deal breaker for me.

Me too. $20 is steep for 24oz of water. Who gets paid to make these decisions?

They should make their booking system more like Mohegans

wtf? I usually reserve 2 queens so a buddy can share the room with me. Are they doing to charge if there is a 2nd guest in the room?

If so, I guess the trick is to check in alone and ask for 2 room keys. Don't put his name on the 2nd key.

2 comp dlx rm nts Select Hotels - Select Days. Limited avail, 1 rm per prsn. Major credit card needed to make reservation. $50 cancel fee if not cancelled within 48 hrs of check-in. Nontransferable. Suites subject to upgrade fee.

I find this out when check out Thursday room early. $22.94 comp taken from reward card guaranteed reservation automatically. Check my room offer from email this is bs I have proof. Forcing these unfavorable changes a month after rooms are booked at check out is just unbelievable. But then again so was the 3 hour 9 minute hold time to make a reservation. God awful customer service and greedy operators seem to go hand in hand

This mine for Monday, see difference in $.00 email confirmation on the right and current website confirmation of $22.94 on the left

Foxwoods' web site looks like crap. Everything is blown up as if it's scaled for mobile, but I'm on desktop.

It's always said that. It just means you can't book your 2 rooms for the same night.

I'm also aware of people who had non-comp reservations whose rates are now over $100 more than before the change. You'll notice all of the confirmation numbers are different now too. It seems as though they cancelled everyone's existing reservations and rebooked them under the new system, and their position is if your rate changed for whatever reason, too bad. That's crossing the line. Once a reservation is confirmed, the rate is locked in, you can't just muck with confirmed reservations after the fact.

I'm hoping these are bugs that will ultimately get fixed, but I'm not very optimistic. I have a feeling the resort fee on comped rooms is here to stay, as more casinos are doing that. But they should at least honor the waived fee for existing reservations... whenever they've raised the resort fee in the past, they would honor the lower rate of existing reservations when checking in, so there is a precedent of honoring pre-change rates... but these seem to be "new" reservations, which again is uncalled for.

That is the pure definition of robbery right there. I give Foxwoods until the summer before increasing the resort fees again.

Thanks Lat. I don't recall seeing it before.

Nah, they've been doing this in Vegas for a while now. Plus they are also charging for parking.

I have nothing against businesses raising prices. I have something against them raising the prices on reservations after confirmation.

Yeah, that's downright dirty, even for Foxwoods.

Calm down, everyone. I just spoke to the front desk agent at Great Cedar 5 minutes ago and asked her if I was going to be charged a resort fee for my complimentary stay last night. She said no -- the new system is automatically generating the fees for all stays, but the desk agents have been told to waive them for complimentary stays.

That said, I'd still make sure at check-in that your desk agent waives the fee, but I think we're still in the clear.

Well that's good. Thanks for letting us know. It still amazes me that they roll out new systems without debugging obvious things, like the resort fee issue. Hopefully the other things I mentioned get corrected also. It's just frustrating not knowing what's a legit change and what's a glitch, and we have a habit of assuming the worst.

No problem. Just hoping nobody bases their upcoming plans on unsubstantiated rumors on an online forum ...

I have not heard of nor come across increased or additional charges/fees once the reservation is made.

AMEN to that brotha!!! Who the eff is installing this "new" system that isn't bright enough to pay attention to these things BEFORE they go live? All my comped rooms show the fee and I have a bunch of Saturday nights booked @ $99 that are now showing @ $711... wtf

Someone posted that they won't be charging the fees at check in but is that for everyone or just the people who asked for the fee to be waived? Smells like dirty pool to me that they will waive the fees if you ask but the poor bastard that doesn't ask or forgets to ask is going to get whacked with a resort fee on a comp room... I can see management saying "take off the fee if they complain, but otherwise just slide it through."

Seems to me like they absolutely should have worked a little more on honing this software before implementing it!!! It just befuddles me that such a large company can continuously be so bush league
