I gotta say im surprised at the level of class at the 5 10 foxwoods game. I play 2/5 alot and usually go play 5 10 when it seems like its wild. When i played 5 10 other night 6 guys were all on their ipods and iphones or whatever, i know they arent allowed and no i didnt go rat. None of the guys held up the game either. Then 1 guy came to the table and was like"guys can you all please get ridda those devices it bothers me" and everyone just put them away. The man who requested it wasnt even a fish either.

Then later in session i had a big $800 turn decision with top 2 and didnt know what to do, i had k10 on k 10 8 9. They all didnt huff and moan or make me feel uncomfortable, i took prob 2 minutes real time. Then later that night i was in a 5bet pre pot and took like 4 minutes and nobody was outta line.

oh well off to try moreeee, looking forward to the series :-) gl to all, last longer bets would be fun if anyones doing a few events.

They are allowed now at 5/10nl, at least in practice. A year ago one of the shift managers would always tell people to back away from the table when fiddling with a phone, now neither him nor any other floor ever asks anyone to stop using (not talking) on their phones at the table. Talking on the phone in a hand is still not allowed, and some dealers will ask players to back away from the table if they are talking on their phone at the table.

I'm aware that it may be different at games qualifying for the BBJ because of the BBJ rules. In some ways its good, as a lot of the regs watch their phones constantly instead of the game.

I agree that the 5/10nl game is by and large very civilized.

Store is only place with American Spirits,. If you smoke Parliaments and are going to pay $13, the Orange box is the equivalent.

Enforcing rules about phones pretty much went out the window when dealers started collecting their own tips. I use my phone all the time (text or internet) and glad they have relaxed it. I wonder if there will be any increased enforcement with the addtion of BBJ? Although I think Foxwoods has little motivation to block a BBJ being paid, so maybe that's a none issue.

Probably too much to ask for a couple of electric outlets at the tables for chargers? lol....c'mon Mass and NH...cater to my trivial needs!

I think its better for the 1/2 grinder because they don't have to deal with 2/5 players only contributing to the bad beat when the jackpot is high. And now 2/5 players will never drop down. I'm pretty sure 100/5 is 20 though.

Does anyone know the actual policy on table transfers? There are certain players that buy in for 40bb double up, transfer to a new table and sit with 40bb. Rinse, repeat.

Is this really allowed? this player literally does this every time and the floor doesn't seem to care.

I know you can't force people to play but is there really nothing the can be done about this?

if you switch tables by choice you can buy in for whatever you like, and if you have over the table max you cant bring the entire stack. his actions are totally fine. annoying but fine.

This game is a travesty and a disgrace to poker. If you play it, you should feel ashamed.

Wonder if they have a 1-2 Stud8 NL placard. Also, there was a guy at 5/10 last night that not only had his socks and shoes off, but was rubbing his feet for a good half hour. Puke city.

Nobody said anything because the regs were licking their chops. He was all over the place, up at 2/5, sat 5/10, ran like god, asked what stakes had the bbj, played 1/2 for an orbit, back to 5/10, then went to 10/20 which was running last night somehow. Probably left +$18k-$20k.

yes i don't like it either but is allowed and done openly by several regs at 2/5 NLH for min buys and full buys

came up in conversation at my table last week and i was the only one who cared and people didn't even know what i when i used the terms "rat holing" or "going south"

i don't think there is much to be done.

Huh? I take my shoes off all the time especially towards the end of the session. Nothing like letting the feet breathe. Now I don't touch my feet out of respect towards other players. But should I not take my shoes off at the table? Is that offensive or is it just the act of him rubbing his bare feet?

Also, props for The Wire related alias.
