Yeah thanks for showing up Frank. Game had mellowed out a little by the time you got there but still had plenty of action. The 4 seat (friendly bastard) pre bought about $1000 in green chips b4 the game started( in case the charity came close to selling their limit I'm guessing) and ended up dropping his original buyin plus about 8-900 in sack-o-green chips within the first hour. A couple other players were in the game pretty deep as well. Quite a few guys I've never seen before ended up playing and made for a good night. Gonna try and make it a regular Sat game, several expressed interest in playing it weekly.

Hi Everyone, I am going to be in town on the weekend of March 15th. I am staying close to the Detroit Airport.Is it expensive to get a room at the casinos. Do you guys recommend any hotels. I will get in around 6pm on Friday. Where do you guys recommend playing no limit. I play mostly 1-2 and occasionally 2-5. Is it a long wait on the weekends. Do they take your number to call you when your seat is ready or do I have to wait at the casino the whole time. Thanks. I have been reading your thread. You guys seem to be killing it and the 2p2 crowd seems to be pretty close knit in Detroit. Good stuff.

The easiest is to play at one of the casinos downtown. In terms of overall action and environment:
Motor City > MGM >>> Greektown

On a Friday both MCC and MGM will have waiting lists for $1/2 and $2/5, but you can always call ahead to get on the list. Sometimes you'll still be 10+ deep at MCC when you get there, never had too much trouble getting a seat at MGM after calling 30 mins ahead.

Direct poker room lines are:
MCC = 313-237-6735
MGM = 313-465-1070
GT = 313-223-2999
