Love it!!! Now maybe if they raise the starting stack and make it 20 minute levels it would be perfect. 30k in chips

They have no reason for change as long as players buy into the poorly structured and now more expensive tourney.

You're just a bottle of cheer these days.

You still never laid out how your ideal structure should look. You never know.. maybe they would like it and implement.
Hell, tell me and I'll talk to Jeff at 300 and see what he thinks.

Sigh. Not this again. 15 min blinds without automatic shufflers is terrible.

The structure at ES for their Friday tourney was terrible but it was offset by the $2k up top, the same can not be said for this tourney. They raised the price and capped it. Awful, just awful.

It's a charity room.. not a casino.

Most rooms have 15 minute levels.. except for woodhaven until after the second break.

I agree that 20 minute levels would be ideal.

100/100
100/200
200/400
Break
300/600
400/800
500/1000
Break
600/1200
800/1600
1000/2000
Break
2000/4000
3000/6000
4000/8000
Break
10000/20000
15k/30k
20k/40k
Break
30k/60k
40k/80k
50k/100k

That's 20 minute levels. That would be an ideal structure.

Fwiw, QoH structure for their Monday league tournament is about as good as it gets for a charity room.

Isn't that the same structure they use on Fridays?

The charity room vs. casino is a terrible argument. If casinos had it there way, they would replace the poker rooms with more profitable options, like slot machines.

It might be, but that's irrelevant.

I was there and the place was crazy. It seems like they have enough room to squeeze in 2 more tables. Sorry we didn't meet up Turd. I did say hello to Nitro and the Poker Girl. I pretty much stole my way to 25th, just couldn't get traction when I needed it at the end. On a positive note my friend Rick made the final table, they did a 6 way chop for about $550. I did see the 2K stack at cash, wow, that guy must have run like super.

Speaking of terrible arguments...

Casinos do have it THEIR way. No one is forcing them to have poker rooms. And if "Charity" rooms had it THEIR way they'd have slot machines instead too.

...and I'd rather stick knitting needles into my eyes than play QoH ever again.

Let's pretend that the number of poker tables availalble have not declined every year for the last 5 years.

No idea what your trying to say in your last statement.

At 20 minute levels without a cap, youll never get the tournament finished before 130. And a 30k SS won't help either. That tournament doesnt need it. Would prevent how many alternates that they will get in to the tournament. I am sure that they are trying to figure a way of maximizing their profit. By raising their BI, and capping their entries, they can still bring in the MTTcrowd while continuing to run multiple cash games at night.
As for the other changes in the structure, I don't think that they will every change it-at least not for now. I asked Jeff a year ago to change the structure for the $100 and I was kindly told to go away.
To be honest, out of all of the charity MTTs I've played (lots), there isn't a place that has a better staff (dealers or floor) or a better structure. I just wish that Waterford wasn't so far away.

Agreed that the structure needs to show it will be done by 130 or so. Easiest way to figure that out is to see what the average level a tournament ends at and figure won't if it is feasible to do 20 minute levels.

With only 8 tables they had to cut the runners to get more cash games. When I left after 10PM I believe they only had 1 running.

What happen to the MPM? I have been listening to old podcasts and unfortunately most of the rooms they visited are closed now. Time for visits to the newer rooms. The Lizard also owes me a T-shirt.

Omaha said they are on indefinite hiatus. He also said that he doesn't want to be referred to as "lizard".

I understand the need for the cap but players are essentially paying more for same tourney with no change in total prize pool.
