I will no buy his debt for $300 but i do have some bottles to return. maybe we can exchange his debt for those. Then i can have him mow my lawn and clean out my gutters. Seems like a pretty sweet deal. You should take me up on the offer.

Also i like your chances of getting your money back from Roma, More then i like my chances of getting my money back from Full Tilt.

You could always have him work of his debt. Like Pimp him out to old ladies and stuff like the HBO series Hung.

Actually i think it is bad taste for me to make fun of this on 2+2. But for some reason i couldn't help myself. Maybe i will go to Trollers Anonymous or something.

Good luck in your ordeal. I hope Roma can resolve this soon. I miss the two of your guys posting in 2+2.

I used to play there alot but I took that out of my rotation, I actually like going to all the charity rooms, get my grind on for like 1-3 months then stop going to the same ones so people won't know me or how I play. Wait a few weeks/months then go back. Its good to not be a regular because people will be able to clock your play or ask a friend how they play ect..

But if on thursday I might head up there after my night class, is the game still 300 deep buy in, and a ton of action?

$300 is $300 unless you're in the business of teaching lessons

Well if he were to pay me $300 tommorow I would consider it. The point is that's not going to happen. I feel he will pay me eventually but I'm tired of his excuses and frankly I'm sick of talking to him about it. Which is why I offered it.

Frank gave me heads up about the discussions about our new room opening soon. Cadas Poker & Sports Grill, check us out on facebook. Website being worked on. Its amazing the buzz going around about our room and I have not even advertised yet.

Any advice on what you are looking for out of a poker room is welcome.

I have owned and run a room for 3 years prior to my new room, I have a good feel for what works and what players want. I love playing in good stuctured tournaments and that is what you find at Cadas.

I will be running $1/2, $1/3 and $2/5 NLH along with Omaha and RR.

I pride myself in running a unique room with unique tournaments, I again will bring new tournaments to the area which will be copied by others.

Once again I will be bringing casino quality to the charity poker room. I have ordered custom tables and can clay chips along with Gasser poker chairs.

I will try and include updates on here often, also check out our facebook page as well.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Looking forward to doing a trip report for 2+2 and others that follow me on Twitter. @vilageidiot1 . Been pretty excited to see what is going to happen.

I know from what alot of people have said that they would like to see some sitngos like what was on pokerstars. Also tournaments with better structures as well. I know there is some difficulties being with the laws with charity rooms. But if you could actually have a Deep stack Tournament once or twice a month that would be great. And what i mean by a deep stack tournament is something that starts at noon and ends at 2am. A tournament that doesn't put people into a akward spot where it is just push fold at the final table. This has been one of the bigger issues with almost everyone that plays at snookers that is a competent thinking player.

As far as cash games you can't really go wrong as long as they fill up and the dealers are fast. So having actual working card shufflers would be a plus.

Fast and friendly staff will be must as your competing with Snookers and they pretty much kill any other place in that department. I am excited to see the new place. Also exactly when does it open?

Link to fb page? Get a twitter acct?

Once a month run a decent $50-$100 buy in tourney with good, slow structure. If you start at noon, you have plenty of time to leave poker skill. If Joe is actually affiliated, im sure he will be able to give input on a structute. If not, i would be more than happy to help out. Along with most ppl in this thread.

Excited for the room. Please keep us updated! Dont want to miss the initial wave of fish!

I actually wonder if Cada will be there. I heard it is owned by his father, any truth to that rumor? Also when do you guys expect to be open for business?

This is the key, exactly what Detroit area Poker is missing...Great structure!
I am certain Cada's room will be a huge success if they bring new tournaments (bounty, shootout, HU) with great structure to our area.
I suggest trying something different...maybe a weekly Sunday $150 Bounty tournament. With single table satellites (10-man w/2winners) all weekend. Something different to attract customers.
I also suggest a monthly tournament with a larger buy in (maybe $300) with single table satellites running for that also.
Just as long as Cada's room offers new tournaments and great structures, they will lock down Detroit area Poker.

Antes in the tourneys please!
Detroit Quote

Yes antes please!!!! Remember you don't have to run a tournament that starts off with 50,000 chips to be deep stack. I've played 3000-5000 chip live events that had more play 4 hrs into it then some of these ******ed "omg you start off with 100,000 chips!" I haven't played a charity tournament since Nov '10 and wouldn't consider it til some changes were made.

Side note, and im sure ill get blasted for it, especially since WSOP harmond did so well. Do you think were going to see a sharp decline in poker in Michigan over the next year? You got quite a few people who have been playing these tournaments week in week out paying 25-35 percent rake? Most of these are always chopped up or give some insane drop down so people don't bubble. Your top rear of players are making very little money, your slightly break even players are bleeding money after 2-3 years of this, and your fish are going to fish no matter what. With online poker most likely dead for the next 2 years, and no poker shows besides WSOP, I really don't see any large growth in players.

Little growth, high rake, bad pay off structure, and high variance structures (avg stack at final tables 5bb?) On paper it seems like the pond is being overfished. Odds are im wrong, but I would be curious to see if a place like snookers still has 80-100 person fields a year from now, especially in these $100+ weekly events

im glad cadas room is opening and can't wait to play cash there. Im just bummed about the tournament scene in Michigan and will be bummed when cadasroom decides the way to bring in players is to offer a brand new "ULTRA MEGA STACK" weekly tournament, but I can't blame them I guess.

I am excited for Cadas room to open. Things that I woudl like to see are:

-A clean and comfortable enviroment
-Knowledgeable employees and friendly service
-Good food and drinks ( I rather pay a little extra and eat better quality)
-Game selection. You can play 1/2 NLHE anywhere so more PLO or PLO8
-A deepstack tourney on Sat. afternoons... some of us work during the week
-A room that is geared towards higher limits

Good luck with the opening!!!
