omg 1/2 PLO was going and I was in AC. Damn you borg for not giving me room discounts even thow I'm a low limit poker donk (unlike say harrah's which is ridiculously generous). I'd so much rather play in that room, but the $400+ I can save by getting the poker rate at Harrah's will have to compensate.

(shameless give me better comps at borg post)

played saturday night (1am - 4a) and it was great. tons of tables, lots to choose from.

sat at a 2-5NL table with some monster stacks and it turned out to be a great time.

huge bonus for the TONS of beautiful women running around that place (unlike anywhere else we went earlier that night/weekend). great casino, great poker room and great eye candy all around (obv not in poker room).

oh, and it's nice to have some $10min craps right outside the poker room (yes i'm a craps nit)

I play @ borgata, and all i have is a dang Borgata hat to show for it.

I played at Harra's ONCE, and I've got a room with my name on it any time I ask!

And so many people on this board wonder why I opt to stay next door at Harrah's rather than the Borgata. Besides the Black Label free parking, good luck on asking for anything else.

I haven't been slowrolled much in the 3 years I've played live. I've been slowrolled 3 times in the last two days here. Is this a Borgata thing, where they slowroll the out of towners? hahah

I got slowrolled at least 3 times at the Taj 10/20 game. Seems to happen more there because of their rule that if the river checks around the person in first position has to show first even if the other guy was the last aggressor.

Ruler,
A question. If I am an HET player, and I have a HET platinum card, and I want to play at the borgata, can I show my platinum card to get a black card?

Thanks,

jman220,

HET platinum card is no good. Has to be diamond or higher and you can not already have a Borgata card.

I am not up to date on other casino player's cards, but it sounds as though
dogfish could be correct.

This is partially correct from what i know. Correct that you need to have a diamond card but incorrect about not having a card.

If you have a diamond card they will upgrade you to black, if you are a new member(don't have a red card) you get the $100 free slot dollars and the free room and the black card. If you have a red card, they upgrade you to black but no slot dollars and free room. My wife and I did this in november, showed them our diamond cards and they gave us black but no free slot play or free room

YMMV if they have changed this in the last 6 months.

Why do you I have to be stuck in the south where no LHE game higher then 3/6 appears ever anywhere except for tunica which is a 41/2 hour drive for me.

P.S. I played for years since I was 21 around the 10/20 - 40/80 games in AC. Before getting stuck down here.

Where are the cashiers in the high limit room? Or do you mean high limit on the floor?

Also I've seen cashiers ask people for their Borgata card and write their numbers down when they cashed out over 5k.

Which room do you play in Tunica? When I managed the Sam's Town Room there years ago you couldn't find anything bigger than 20-40 LHE in the whole town. I had a player visit from the Tunica area two weeks ago in which he said that that 20-40 game has almost disappeared.

Can anyone give me some vital stats on the 10/20NL game? I am planning a trip to B and heading to this game if it is running.

What chips do they use. Should I just be buying in with 4k in black & 1k green?

How deep does the game get? Assuming everyone buys in for the full 5k how much $ can I expect to be on the table after 4-5 hours?

Has the game been as nitty as I am told? I have actually been steered away from this game by a couple of dealers at Borgata....saying it's nothing but a few regulars who are rocks and sit and wait for some gamblers to show up and make a mistake.

Any other useful info would be appreciated.

Does anyone know the requirements and steps necessary to get a deposit box at Borgata? and are the boxes 100% private, or does the Borgata keep track of what goes in and out?

thanks

Greens don't play at the table. . . you'll be hounded mercilessly until you color them down to yellow. Sit down and buy in at the table; get a stack or two of yellow and the rest in black.

The game can play fairly deep, but it varies tremendously. How deep depends on the presence of the 10/25 uncapped game. If that game is running, it siphons off a lot of the deep players.

As far as nittiness, most of the regs can basically be described as "solid TAG." But there are some fishes that swim in. . . you'll know them because everyone is just soooo happy to see them. Also, many of the better LAG's head over to the 10/25NL game if it's running, which has a big effect on how the 10/20NL game plays.

Good luck.

I spoke to the day shift manager. He took my card and looked over my play history. Fortunately, there was one available at the time (but this was Winter.)

Gonna be around on Saturday I think.

Any chance the Borg ever institutes player's cards with barcodes that can just be scanned at the table? I probably forget to swipe out like 60% of the time.

I doubt it, can you imagine a saturday evening at the B with 80 tables going and lists about 15-20 names deep for some games the floormen running aroun asking people to take out their cards to scan them and trying to fill seats and walking around writing down dealers numbers at every table? It would be a mess
