I believe they’re cutting costs and short staffed

Just deal and worry about that crap a few seconds later.
Smarts dealers know that it’s to their own benefit to get the cards out first.

It’s incredible how many old timer dealers at Borgata still don’t seem to get this

It’s protocol for dealers to swipe players in and perform “housekeeping” when they push.

Yes they need to keep the game moving and get the cards out but usually you don’t want to keep your customers waiting to be logged in.

It’s also the only time they’re going to remember to ask you for your card.

I was there a couple of months ago and it's definitely not as good as 2012. It's still the best buffet in AC which isn't saying much because there are only 2 buffets in AC.

It's only open 3-4 days a week now and not nearly as good as in 2012.

I’ll be at the Borgata tonight after not being there for awhile.
If anyone is playing the 6 pm bounty tournament, see you there.

The bounty tournament yesterday didn’t run because they were doing some qualifier for one of their bigger tournaments. Booooo.

Played 1/3 cash. Fun times. The Borgata is still the best place in AC to play but I think it’s more due to the amount of players/action. Move most of them to a different poker room in AC and it’s an overall better experience I think.

Can someone explain to me how Borgata lists a hotel room for the night of Feb 3rd for $188 but after I select it the price goes to almost $700?
I noticed that the room type changed to a suite but there was no option for a regular room UNLESS I log out! Then I can select a regular room but the price is almost $600.

Sigh.

it's some kind of a glitch that happens only if you book one night exactly, try to select two or more and you'll see it go back to normal

MGM gonna MGM I guess

I'm getting the same glitch. Shows $188 until I select it for 1 or more nights... then $669 suites only. Maybe you'll have to call direct and ask?

This place sucks and has gone straight nosedive downhill since mgm bean counters bought out remaining interests in borgata from Boyd gaming that mgm didn’t already own. They cut corners at every chance - changing the restaurants to save money eg Bobby flay, not having the cage open, not having employees workings, the lesser comps and the comp gimmicks of having to go to desk to move comps. It’s all such a farce. And if you played at borgata before MGM bought out then you know how far downhill it has gone. MGM seems to want to impose some cookie cutter low cost model on all their casinos that doesn’t appreciate the revenue lost from fewer players coming to the casino. I always spent money on the restaurants and drinks besides games outside the card room. Go listen to their earnings calls recently the mgm people just say “oh yeah AC is just a real tough market.” That’s laughable - borgata had far and away most market share before MGM bought out and MGM ever since has been losing market share by being cheap bean counters cutting corners at every chance.

I agree with every words of It.

It’s sad to see nice place like Borgata turns into something run of a mill c grade casino !!!

Random borgata question- what is the most number of comped nights people here are receiving on the app? I get 4 nights which kinda surprises me- I kinda degen but nothing insane- might put in a few quick crap sessions, not super long cash sessions, lots of tourny play (which I assume generates nothing), and maybe vid poker.

Just wondering if one can get more nights per week and not be some insane high roller punter? I’m at 4 nights comped in vegas also/ it would be way more
Valuable to get more nights comped in vegas bc I do long trips bc I travel from east coast. Just wondering what type of offers folks receive here?

Does anyone know if they will tier match anymore? When I went in January they told me I could tier match until February 1st because something is possibly changing with their system so they didn't know if tier matching will still be a thing starting this month.

All correct. Although the poker room started going downhill after Stan left. MGM has pushed it even further downhill with their antics.

I'm glad Ocean has been kicking their ass for 2 years.

They really have no serious poker competition now in AC, so that's probably why they don't care too much.

Now, if only Ocean would bring back poker or at least Hard Rock would open a room. It still baffles me why Hard Rock didn't, their rooms in Florida are always packed and seem to do quite well.

I should have been more clear. Ocean is kicking their ass in casino revenue as has been for about 2 years.

I also had hopes for a hard rock poker room when it first opened.
