Yet another "ask me" MTT SnG thread, like people post these things thinking they can offer exceptional answers to anyone else. I have no interest in asking ANY 180 man player a single thing until he can show me +35% else zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz imo. No offends. Jabracada post one of these? Erryone else do one.

Lol, no offence taken but read the very first post. I specifically said this is just mainly to help players who are just learning etc and regs aren't exactly going to get much, if anything out of it. I also specifically said I don't claim to be great/amazing etc.. Especially recently (literally last month or so) I realised I had a few leaks mostly regarding ICM. Significantly better now but I still haven't spent many hours with sng wiz like some have and as a result of course my ranges especially final table will not be as perfected as some other regs. That being said this last statement applies for most of the regs.

Btw, I do have 35%+!!! (Over an insignificant sample, so yes I'm just joking and not actually serious ;P)

Entim thanks, and indeed I recognise/remember you everytime I see you the tables, gl to you too Can't be too hard to recognise us from the forums though when our names are as they are lol

I'm done with questions like I said but I will answer the last two since I'm replying anyway. For different sized antes, if the % of big blinds is different at diferent blind levels then I guess you can learn the ranges in terms of "M" (rounds of play) and go from there.. The difference isn't too big although I can certainly see it being the worth to take into account for this since 10% or 12.5% is a significant enough difference in the dead money.

If you 6 table continuously and reload everytime you bust something, depending on your style (tighter or looser side basically) I would assume in 3 hour sessions for turbo you could do about 25-30 or so? If you mean you would load games for 3 hours then stop after 3 hours (e.g. after 3 hours you would still be playing) it will be a bit higher. For non turbo I guess it would be less, maybe like 15? Sorry not too sure about this, so the best way to find out is to play some sessions But for sure non turbos take ages in comparison, around 1.5 hours to finish compared to 4~.....

Hi OMGClayDol!

Do you filter (is it necessary to filter at all for MTTs?) players in MTTs when it comes down to final table/short-handed play???
09-10-2011 , 07:20 PM
Nope not really since I don't really use my HUD that much and a vpip/pfr doesn't really help for filtered for 4 handed etc imo, good regs etc will play ranges based on variables like stack sizes, players, etc so it's not like if I know someone is 37/28 over 1000 hands 4 handed it will help very much at all. It's better to just know their overall stats so I have an ok idea of if they are probably a weaker player or reg basically. Knowing a random is 40/20 over 10 hands of 4 handed is less useful for me than knowing he is 30/2 over 50 hands overall.

This is really the last question I'm answering
If anyone -really- wants to know something, PM me and I'll be happy to answer but really just gonna let the thread die now lol, might even just pm a mod to lock or whatever. peace all and gl

Hey ClayDol,congrats on all of ur success and thanks for the thread man!

My only question is what books,2+2 threads or videos do u recommend for someone who is starting at 180's?Basicly,what study material do u think is really worth it?

I don't really know of any videos other than my own for 180s, and obviously I won't recommend my own stuff lol. I think glitlr had some stuff somewhere that was decent but don't think there has been much specifically on the 180 format. SNG Wizard is definitely a good study material. Also this isn't on 180s in particular, at all, but Collin Moshmans SNG book is pretty good if you haven't read it as it has a lot of basic SNG knowledge that is quite important and useful.
