VIP program

Anyone know how to see the total rake going out on HEM? I presume what we see is our contributed rake. I'd really like to be able to figure out more accurately what kind of hand amounts we might all need at our various levels of play to reach certain goals we might have. I assume a lot of people would like to figure this out as well.

Maybe I am not understanding this correctly...

It is my understanding that the daily RB comes back at 36%

--White VIP gets 15% daily cash back

--Silver VIP gets 25% daily cash back

--Black VIP gets 35% daily cash back

--Black VIP ELITE gets 40% daily cash back

Maybe the verbage of "rake back" vs "cash back" has something to do with, but assuming these two words mean the same thing; then why would stay with the VIP program? The only person who is coming out ahead is the black vip elite?

Not trying to come across rude or complaining, just looking for someone to help me better understand.

VIP program members can also exchange points for cash. The exchange rate works out to an additional 10% cash back for tournament play. (I don't know how it works out for cash game play.)

Most ridiculous part:

"Cashback rebates are cash payments paid directly to your account daily based on total VIP earned. 7 VIP points are awarded for every $1 of tournament fees, 1 VIP point for $1 of dealt rake."

So, you can cash out 700 VIP points for $10... but to get $10 you need to rake $700. yes.... RAKE 700!!!! So, that's basically an additional 1.4% rakeback you achieve from being in the VIP program. Which pretty much means the VIP program is pointless unless you are a black level.

You seem to not understand how "dealt rake" works. You get 1 point for every dollar raked from any hand that you are dealt in to. So the rake is coming from all players in the hand, not just you.

will VIP get bonus and ronin payment on top of the daily rake back and points to cash?

Yep.

So if i am understanding correctly you can have RB and exchange points for cash? Is there any drawback to changing points to cash?
06-08-2012 , 12:38 AM
It's my understanding that you cannot exchange points for cash if you are on RB. If you can, I don't know the answer to your question.

ok thank you

edit: well what can we do with points then? no rewards store on Revolution?
06-08-2012 , 01:35 AM
I'm not sure if they'll have a store eventually or what you'll be able to do with points. I'm also not 100% sure you can't exchange them somehow. Hopefully it becomes clear in the near future.

It isn't really clear on the site how the levels work.

When you reach the required amount of points, are you instantly upgraded to that level?

Does that status remain through the next month, or do you start out below white VIP again?

Both of those are how it has worked in the past.

thanks.

Will it auto/instant upgrade to next level if i earn enough points during the middle of month?
06-08-2012 , 06:58 PM
ofc

As a primarily HU player I will receive a lower percentage of rake back per hand compared to 6 and 9 max players unless they play extremely loose. Retaining black VIP seems hardly worth it to have to rake nearly $1k for a deal barely better than 36% rakeback. Doesn't seem like I'm on track to this month, anyway.

That is if I understand this new system correctly . . .

edit: which brings to a question, can I still email support and switch to RB?

Are they having the monthly VIP freeroll this month?

When will the full stats dashboard be back? So we can see our VIP points.

Yes it is skewed towards more seats at cash games.

As long as you don't currently have RB on any Cake(Revolution) skin, they should be able to switch you to RB.

will your VIP level shows some where in your lock account (like admn or so)?
06-09-2012 , 09:08 AM
As a new customer I think I started with 36% rakeback as I can see rakeback payments in my Cashier. My question is, am I advancing through VIP levels too even if I don't get cash back and can't convert points to cash so if I want to switch to VIP program I can start when I'm at Black VIP level or I will start at White level when I'm switching to the VIP system ?
Also will I ever have access to the vault if I stick with rakeback? I'm asking because I think I made enough points for at least White VIP and still don't have a vault.

Thanks to anyone who can give an answer.

Is there any good reason to do it this way instead of offering 7 points per $1 and dividing those 7 points by the number of players? Why would someone even consider playing heads up under the current system?

No, there's not. It's basically a big Fu to headsup and shorthand players.

1. So Rakeback, Ronin, Cashback, AND Cash bonuses are 4 SEPERATE and individual rakeback options?

1.A. If cashback is just rakeback given by the site, then why in this thread do they differentiate?:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/19...ments-1206661/

2. If you don't like the VIP program's rakeback (aka cashback, right?), you can contact support and get different rakeback offers from other websites...is that correct?

3. Also, if you choose to go with rakeback offered by another site, will you lose out on vault access and cash redemption?

4. Is there a multiplier for points when advancing in the VIP system? Or is it just THAT much harder to get to the next level?
