Dave said the Viffer's long periods with no response were his main factor in picking me as the winner. He said based on the logs that Viffer has no bad intentions which I think is completely reasonable.

The reason being that the terms of the original agreement can have an impact upon whether your bet with Viffer stands or not.

I looked via google but it did not seems to come up anywhere - I just thought you might have a saved copy or a hard copy somewhere.

*Note I am have no financial interest in the outcome of the bet or arbitration - I am just interested in the principles behind whether the side bet should stand or not.

In fairness Skype sometimes doesn't sync messages between all your devices. So some possibility that middle section is in his Skype log on a different computer

True, but it's unlikely it just happened to do this with the parts that made him look the worst.

Man, this is pretty awesome to follow even though it sucks for the people viff is trying to screw out of thousands of dollars.

Well as Viffer likes to say repeatedly in this thread, if you want to do damage to him then take his money and punish him for being foolish. One $5k down, what's progress on the next pummeling? Or was the $5k enough of a reality check for him that the way he sees things does not coincide with how other smart people see things? Hopefully progress can be made on the real bet.

Seeing as viffer tried to cheat/scam for 5k idk how many other ppl will be willing to bet w/ him as he's always playing some angle rather than proposing a legit prop bet.

FWIW, I am not accusing Viffer of trying to cheat/scam me. He's very aloof and not the person I would expect to be the best with Skype / software in general. He probably had no idea that when he switched computers that would happen.

He says he'll pay me on Monday when he gets back into town, and I'm sure he will pay me.

In fact, I'd love to dwell even further into BetCeption if anyone wants to bet me that Viffer won't pay

Ofcourse he will pay $5K, it's such a low amount, he probably has way more riding in other bets he expects to get paid and wouldn't get paid if he flat out didn't pay the $5K.

$150K bet would have been somewhat interesting in getting paid or not.

Paying this doesn't really say anything about his reputation.

It also says something that Justin is happy to take bets that The Vif won't pay - as he knows he will.

Try having, and winning, a 5k bet with eDog and see if that says anything about his rep?
