Key points from the first month of coaching:

1. 100% of students surveyed rated their satisfaction as “High” or “Very High”.

2. There were over 1000 posts in the forum, almost all strategy, with pretty much no questions left unanswered.

3. The top performing student won $35,000 from HUSNGs since joining and described the program as “absolute gold”. Four times as many students reported having above average months for them then those reporting below average months (8-2).

4. We did a great job of making the forum a collaborative project. For example, a student suggested recording the group coaching sessions and giving everybody the other sessions, as well. I said, why not?

5. Student input was also responsible for the format of the forum. Each student got their own personal thread, which built up a meaningful conversation over the course of the month about persistent leaks.

6. A comment from the post-survey: “Oh and articles were PURE NUTS !!!”. I posted about an article a week, on topics such as how and when to 3-bet light, how and when to check-raise light, “Some thoughts about reacting to people who 3bet wide 30-75bb deep”, “Correctly Applying “Shove or Fold” Small Blind Endgame Strategy”, and “Taking advantage of image against Riyyc225, H2Olga, and livb112” (which is mostly just me saying they know I'm a massive nit so we should probably try to take advantage of that).

7. The longest personal thread was 75 posts, the shortest was 4 posts, 3 of which were me needling the person about not posting more often.

8. The vast majority of questions were answered within 24 hours.

9. The staking method was largely unsuccessful, unfortunately, mostly due to 4 students who didn't come particularly close to the minimal baseline volume requirements (200 games at $10 or above). We also had all-stars on the staking plan, though. I think I'm going to go with flat-rate payment from now on, but I will consider a rare student on the staking plan if it's a great fit.

10. Due to the proven success and satisfaction from the program, and the immense amount of interest even before that, rates have increased for the May session, and I'm going to take applications to come up with the best group possible. Hey, I really hoped you would offer this again in May!

I've been part of that initial group, and it has been such a great experience for me. My results were well below average, I'm about 30 buy-ins below equity, but I've learned so much during this program.

Mersenneary is such a great coach and it has been such a great pleasure to work with this group.

Really liked it and i got so much out of it fwiw. Best thing is you can cave into others thread who are playing similar games to you and learn so much. fwiw i even couldnt go through all the info that was given in the whole forum. Mers is an excellent coach and group session with skype was awesome too. strongly recommend !!! ty very much sir Merssenneary.

It's only with fasttrack, I do $200/hour or $800 for 5 hours outside of that.

hey Mers, just wondering if you were going to send e-mail confirmation to applicants? If you ended up not bothering thats cool, just wanted to make sure my form didn't get lost in cyber space.

That's OK. The point of giving the sns is just so I can get a better sense of what games you usually play and stuff like that, I get a decent sense of it from the rest of the app anyway.

This is a good question. I think there's a ton of value just in reading the posts themselves. I also am somewhat wary of students feeling insecure about randoms reading their posts without their knowledge, although they all understand their posts will be available for the next batch of students. I think in June while I'm live donkamenting I'll probably open it up for readers while taking a reduced batch of students, especially considering there will likely be 2000+ posts by then, but I haven't decided on what the price might be for that or whether to open it up at all. There's a value to passive income but there's also a value to the community atmosphere that's being cultivated.
