What do you guys think is the best way to improve your game? Currently I just play and occasionally do HH review and watch videos. Could you recommend me anything?

Hmmm well that would teach you to beat a reg, but there's more to poker than just playing against one kind of player.

Calling is probably +EV, but Im folding most of the time because Im a nit. Definitely folding if its a regspeed. More likely to call if its a turbo and/or Im on tilt.

I am a believer of "folding when its slightly +EV in order to wait for a better spot", esp vs massive fishbowls like this guy obviously is.

Reminds me of a guy I had re-matching me a few days ago. Would literately get it in preflop with any two cards. I 3bet jammed for value 75bb deep over and over and he was still calling it off with K3, 85 etc etc. Obviously after a dozen or so games he was ahead and quit.

It makes you think about a lot of spots very deeply and adjusting to peoples tendencies, which translates into skills vs all players. Note-taking is also important IMO and this is a good time to practice.

You have to have a good reg game if you are ever going to play 100s+, and I do feel like it improves your thought process immensely playing regs.

Also playing weak regs is fun, they are almost always ridiculously predictable.

Other than that, a good way to improve is to get a good bunch of people together on skype and just talk poker all the time. Its kinda like a passive learning process because you are always talking about hands or strategies or whatever but not really consciously 'studying'.

Its good motivation to learn and grind as well, and as a added bonus (as anyone who has me on skype can vouch for) a good spot to vent when you run bad.

What's better for HUSNG, HEM or Pokertracker?

What level do you play nullspace?

Single tabling in general is great, reviewing HHs/Sessions with ~peers is another you didn't mention.

I'm playing the 3.50 turbos on stars. I don't plan on building a roll there. I'm just trying to learn the basics.

I don't have very much poker experience so right now I'm just massgaming. I've probably spent more time reading and watching videos than I have spent playing actual poker. I think its fair to say my theory is ahead of my experience (currently reading through The Mathematics of Poker right now).

I'm thinking I should just play a ton to get used to the feel of poker, and join a study group to do HH reviews.

Yea don't look to play regs at 3.50 (if they even really exist, the population might just cover anything resembling a "reg" at that level), I think their advice was more for $60s+, maybe a little lower even.

Just find a few individual people, the study groups seem to fade/digress into OT chat. Or find a way to separate from big OT stuff (* if you're here to have fun too then ignore what I just said, obviously you can meet some cool people from this game, but that's not the path to take if you're strictly here to make money).

Playing a ton is perfect, finding a few guys you study well with (ask yourself "what value am I giving, what value am I getting?), reading MMOP can't hurt (I read it when it came out, I was noob and a lot of it was a little too long handed/over my head, but I enjoyed it and it inspired a lot of thought and discussion), finding a video instructor you like and learn well from... that's a pretty good combination and I think if you put in the effort you'll see some steady progress.

Tim Buckley is such a moron even if you don't count his alleged incident of sending a picture of his penis to a 14 year old girl.

I've seen a few $3.50 players with 3-4k games, solid profit (like 1k), still grinding $2-$5's.

Really have a ton of work to do on my endgame.
Insane_Steve's endgame calculator is a superb tool in evaluating my games afterwards, but I still struggle to to know where calling-EV > shoving-EV, as that's not easy to calculate.

If any reg has a lack of action today (or later), I've got a 210-hands $60 regspeed game that screams for an endgame-review. PM if interested.

They don't allow it, but they don't do anything against it either. For the moment, that is.

I don't mean nobody ever plays $3.50s for a long time and also wins, but there's probably not many of these guys and you likely won't see them often due to the large population of randoms at the lower levels.

what can you advice, how should i mix up my limp-callallin range against agressive players or regulars, who dont shove that much as 3bet under 13bbs, but keep on attackin like all of my limps with these stack sizes

i mean i am playing super turbos and its pretty soulcrushin' that i have a limp-fold stat close to 80%

the worst part of it is that if an aggro attacks my limps like every time i limp and i have done like 3 or 4 limp-folds recently and i start to limp a hand like AQ 'bout 13bb deep, they seem to be always checkin' and i'm in tough spots on a flop like J27

youre probably not minraise calling wide enough... like obviously its okay to limp certain hands at these stacksizes but raising should still (most likely) be your standard.
