A hand like JTs plays well postflop. It hits a lot of flops, makes some combo pair + draw type hands etc. Conversely - a hand like K6o has better all-in equity than JTs but its a tougher hand to play. When you make top pair your kicker becomes suspect if you get action and if you hit a pair of sixes there will generally be at least one over card.

I see people often mention the term "hands that play well postflop". I was wondering if someone could explain what this concept means and why certain hands play well postflop while others don't. Thanks.
If we ran 100 all ins, i'd take K3o over JTs everytime, but if we saw 100 flops and we had to play post-flop, i'd take JTs everytime because of the flush/straight draw possibilites and you effectively had two cards to hit, where if you hit a 3 with K3o, there are likely to be 2 overcards on the flop and you don't know where you're at.

With regards to HEM EV line and when playing ST's on ipoker (1500 stacks). Say you held a 2k/1k chip lead with blinds at 50/100 and you shoved every hand until the stacks were 2500 vs 500. You then get it in as a 40% favourite and win, what affect does this have on your HEM EV line with the pot only being 1k?

EV line will go up, and will total like 60-70% of your actual winnings.

How hard is it to get Stars tranfer limits raised? This is what my friend said regarding transfers but I know nothing about it.

"Ya but stars transfers only do 215 a day 300 for 7 days 1500 a month lol"

Anybody knows hollabrrack?
He's 4-tabling sitting regs at the $60s regspeeds.
But only 800-ish games on sharkscope, probably a FT reg?

Most of you have probably seen them but some of Phil Hellmuth tweets are gold!

From march this year:

"EYE OPENING session vs Bryan Colin! Learned the "Math" in heads up NLH: how to play based on number of big blinds. Bring on NBC Heads Up!!"

And why on earth would someone sane tweet this:

phil_hellmuth phil_hellmuth
"Ummm...Haven't cheated on my wife EVER (21 yrs). Haven't seen her in 14 days + wasn't looking for a challenge, but tonight was a real TEST!!"

What a tool...

after a 2k/1k point EV will think that you won 33% of buy-in + 0.4* 33%

assuming the last pot is the only AI pot, you were meant to end that hand with 2400 chips on average, so the EV ROI of the tourney will be +60%

Definitely this. I`ve played a live MTT where person calls HUUGE re-raises preflop with this hand like this for 40% of the stack and afterwards explain their thought process - i knew you had high pair, i knew my cards were alive
