I just know from experience from rush that moving up can have disastrous effects. I want to ensure that even if I have a 7-10 buyin downswing on my first attempt that I can move down a level and still be doing fine.

This was hard to do - emotionally. But I looked back on my experience here and asked myself, "when do non regs (<100 hand sample on HUD) 4 bet shove?"

The answer is almost always AA

i've done that before many times and got caught by AA. it's a very amateur move to instashove aa because they dont know how to play it post flop

Yeah I think KK is a snap as well. If he has AA then that sucks but he's going to have worse more than enough there. Why don't you convert the hands? Would make it a lot easier to follow.

And I'm not saying I make a habit of folding KK pf here, infact that may have been the first time - just saying being as prob the most experienced with rush/zoom ITT I often know when I'm well behind or well ahead.

Just take "Zoom" out of the hand history. Being well behind or well ahead is kinda the point of getting KK in pre btw.

you're probably being a little results orientated, maybe you've run into aa a few times but trust me that kk is a snap call. maybe if you actually have a note saying he shoved and had aa last time i MIGHT fold but to an unknown its the biggest snap, they dont really have air so often but will definitely have weaker pairs, ak and stuff a lot. especially ak. i play some cash, not that much but when i do i play zoom100 (and 200 for non zoom, since 100 is the highest for zoom) and i would call there and expect it to be even more profitable at zoom 5 since the money is "worth less" so the % of spazzes/non monsters will be higher too...

i would definitely call QQ+. AKs I would call too although it's closer, and ako you can probably fold but calling is def fine even with that. gl

If I was only at a 100bb stack, I prob woulda insta called, and in the future (thanks for the tip) I guess KK is always a call for a 4bet ship even with 150bb stack

ok long time no update. reason being because of either pstars or PTs update, HUD stopped working. Then when I got it up again, a session of only ~500 hands but +4 buyins didn't get imported. Had to figure it out and finally purged the duplicated session and re-imported it.

After looking at all my winnings, bonuses and VIP money, and subtracting my pf-staking BR, I see that I actually have $575 (up over $200 from 45k hands of 5nl). So, when I put in a big session on Sunday I think I'll be starting with 10nl.

Ok here we are after about 55k hands. I was up about $60 since moving up to 10nl but still up a few buyins so can't complain really. Not enough volume of 10nl yet to show a true winrate

another downswing, 14k hands into 10nl and I'm -$6, ugh.
Still net $200 but I think I'll take a few days off and try again this weekend. If, after about 25k hands I'm nowhere near my 5nl winrate I may consider moving back down

Well, still down 3 buyins of 10nl after 18k hands. I feel like even if I'm able to come back after, say, another 20-30k hands, my winrate would be lower than 5nl. So, maybe I ought to go back and do another 50k hands of 5nl and work out some of my leaks before I move up again.

This session of 2k hands had actually worked my way up about 2 buyins until this hand came up (after it I ended the session). It was probably a terrible play by me because the only thing he is 4 betting me all in on flop is a J or AA. I was just unwilling to believe any half-decent player could call with a J (other than the unlikely JJ) with a large 3bet pf. My mistake for giving credit to players

Yea I guess so. I feel my pf and flop play are generally pretty solid. using position and villain fold to 3bet/cbet stats are key for picking up pots that add up.

Still really only 3 buyins down when you think about it, so an upswing of 5-6 buyins can put me right back on schedule. I will continue this week and post a graph when I hit 25 or 30k hands of 10nl

Wow. We're finally back and while 2+2 was down I, sir, was not. I'm up to nearly 100k hands and we're nearly ready to move up to 25nl! With over $600 in zoom winnings and nearly half has much in VIP/Store/Deposit/April Fools bonuses, my BR is over $1100 and we're just a few buyins away from moving up
