First Zoom PG&C thread evar?

Anyway I've been following the progress of Zoom since January. Did quite well at rush, (infact had a PG&C thread about it couple years ago) and have been anxiously awaiting zoom.

In the mean time I've been thinking about planning a trip to South Africa either late this year or next year. Was going to save from other means and withdraw the last few hundred of my roll since I havn't been having any success on my own with micro MTTs or from staking at ptp. When suddenly, this morning Zoom arrives, and I'm stuck at work.

I'm ready to start at the bottom (well close - 5nl) and work my way up using a conservative 50 buyin rule at first. Hopefully PT3 starts tracking hands properly and displays HUD correctly and we'll be able to crush this game as we move up!

I'm not looking to pay for this hole trip from micro zoom, but considering I was looking to withdraw my last $250 it would be awesome if I could take a big chunk out of the cost from anything I can make this year.

From what I can remember about Rush, I'll look to put in ~40-50k hands a month and even a few bb/100 is good enough for me.

Let's do this!

gl man i already put in 2k hands at zoom 5NL i think(HEM isnt tracking it yet) and im up $20+ . Dunno anything about the rush poekr on ftp but this Zoom stuff is great. GL in your challenge i will be watching

GL bro. I loved rush when it was kicking, made a pretty dime at 25nl and 50nl, and 5plo(for the lols). So, if you're not an idiot, it's mega profitable and new to stars players, who maybe didn't play on ftp, so quickly exploit them early doors!

just played 6k hands of 2PLO. should be a interesting graph when HM2 gets themselves sorted

Thanks guys. Got PT3 and HUD up and running before I even played a dime (hate going in blind) and we're up $30 after a couple thousand hands. Looking for much more volume this weekend

This is even easier than from what I can remember at rush. Took some horrendous beats and still pull out a good sample already

Don't get ahead of yourself though, having played rush you should know how relevant 6k hands really is.

Do you have skype? I use to play rush as well and am now taking up zoom.

Yes I know this is small. I wouldn't call stats reliable until 30-50k hands. As of now, I'd expect my winrate to drop, but I'm sure 5-10bbs/100 is sustainable.

for sure, thats the great thing about zoom i guess, it will only take 2 weeks or so to have a 100k hand sample to go on.

5-10bb/100 is definitely achievable.

Btw, what vpp/hand rate are u getting?

rake via PT3 was about $22 I think

i was getting 0.056 at normal games and i had 0.017 vpp/hand for the first 2k :s.

Hopefully when i check tomorrow, itll have risen by quite a bit, would hate to only get 1/3rd of the vpp's i used to get when im only putting in 2x the volume.

BR is $410, but I think I'll wait until $500 to move up to 10nl

nice my $15 br is now 110 after alot of ZOOM and i accidently joined a late sat to the $5.50 1r1a micromill thing and got a deep cash for 32 so prolly up almost 75 playing 5NL. when i hit 200 ill be shot taking at the 10NL

Be careful. 20buyins (and 3 based on your $15 start) can be tricky. It's an easy game but it only takes a few beats for you to lose a chunk of your rail, and tilt will affect the rest of your game.

I know I'm playing pretty conservatively with 50buyin rules, but I would think 30 is a minimum for the volume and variance of zoom/rush

+1, 30 sounds a good minimum, also because when your winning youll get deep pretty quick and then the big pots really hurt.

That's a solid point. I usually find myself with 1-2 tables with $25+ after a session. I should get into the habit of closing and reloading with 1 buyin. I'd rather stack a lot of donks for 1 buyin rather than get sucked out for 5 buyins

yea i think there are a bunch of reasons to stay deep but if i think BRM should dictate. When taking shots, or if you only have 25/30 BI's or w/e.

i get to $15 on a 5NL tabe and book the win not that long after and try to stay away from the huge pot to the 1 outter when im that deep
