I just ordered MGOP2 so ill work my way through that first and then get on board that, looks pretty awesome.

Don't plan to implement a GTO strat but theres alot to be said for how much youll improve as a player spending time thinking about what your range looks like in spots.

Freeroll over

Managed to get past the 3k mark which means the freeroll is over, sorry guys

Pretty epic first session @Nl200, better get used to this.

So much for bum hunting, no action so just battled regs, hard to sit and wait around when youve been waiting so long to jump into a limit haha

Feel like a warrior,

Now for the beers

I am a degen

Losing tons of monies in long sessions where I'm clearly fatigued and tilting. Its depressing that there is still times I lose control and punt money when im being god moded.

Putting a 500 hands cap on my sessions to the end of the month(this can be 100 hands either side of 500 depending on if a fish is sitting me etc), at the end of these sessions ill do a short work out, get some food/drink and review any hands in the session I was confused with. This should hopefully be good for my game and health.

lolEVaments

Now running 1.1k below ev this month 2k for the last 2 months(~30bi's)

Ordered MGOP2 and should be arriving tomorrow, also got a free deck for reaching platinum star on stars, I rake $2000, you give me a deck of cards, sounds like a deal.

Profit for month stands at $2700

Back to the grind....

have you tried tiltbreaker? it's a pretty awesome software, you can set daily/session stop-loss limits, hour/hands limits etc. which when they kick in it will make you unable to open/sit at tables for whatever amount of time you have chosen. i would recommend you start working out regularly at a gym, combined with a healthy diet it's helped me alot with the mental game

I'm terrified to download it incase the great white whale sits me when ive lost too much or played for too long, and I cant play a god seat because of it.

My diet is pretty good, im not overweight or anything but im pretty unfit and it would be nice to feel less groggy at the start of a day. I hate gyms though

why do you hate gyms? is it just that you have very little interest in lifting weights/training in general?

Eh I used to work pretty hard in the gym when I was 18-20, now I just hate what it represents, guys running around taking protein shakes and stuck up females, perhaps my mind is giving me a false perception of what it actually is like, still gives me enough influence not to go.

Month still going well,

Graph:

God is NL200 always this dead? Only played 1K hands so far, most against one reg.

The breaks have been going well, gives me much needed extra study time and exercise, getting my sleeping pattern to ~8 hours a day, seems like since I don't work anymore all I do is sleep/drink/grind. Less sleep hopefully will = more life/poker work/golf.

Made a thread in the travel section about going away, only a few months away so starting to plan now. Perhaps look for a poker house instead(If one becomes available), if anyone has any info it will be appreciated

MGOP2

Starting to break into the second book, Its amazing how much it has done for my poker game.

To date I've read acknowledgements made for a book and take it for granted that they're only to help sell the book, and in fact most of these quotations are people exaggerating how much the book helped them. I always thought granted their lives may have improved a ton since reading the book, but chances are they've changed a whole portion of their lifestyle, and the book was only a small factor of that, or they are friendly with the aurthor etc.

I almost don't want to talk about it with any of my poker friends because I know how much they'll improve and might become better than me

Game

Pretty impressed how far my overall game has come since the start of the challenge, poker is an amazing game. Each time you reach a level you suddenly become aware of whats over that horizon and how far the oasis actually is from where you are standing.

Hoping the work im doing/about to do on theory/math with help me take another stride towards a new level. I'm a "feel" player with most of my math base to do with HUD stats, so adding an mathematical edge on my fellow reg should further increase my winrate.

Some NL200 Hands since moving up: (-$100 so far, 800 below ev )

Interesting hand vrs ultra aggro reg.
