You rent a place in TJ you commute to, right? How many days a week do you stay over, is it a decent place, or just a dive to play from. What time do you leave and return on the days you commute, what area in sd do you live, my bro went to ucsd, la jolla might be the finest place in the US.

-It's a nice place, I was looking for more of a dive, but being able to safely drive in&out/park at night was high on my list, plus I'm only several minutes from Border. Lived here for 2 weeks when I first got it, but haven't stayed over since.
-If Mexico regulates poker and it's a smooth ride ahead, there's a good chance I'll buy and live here full-time. It's basically a suburb of SD, the place is nice, and I like a lot of things (food/culture-wise) that TJ has to offer. Plus no California residency.
-My SD hood is North Park, just North of Balboa Park.
-La Jolla is indeed very nice. And some serious $$ there.

Back to $130k+ below $EV for the year, plus the games have gotten super-withered out of the blue. Thought summer was supposed to be a nice time to play.

At least I'm over 900k VPPs, and my redline is still decently positive on the year (despite taking several sizable downswings in short succession).

Guess it's time to regroup/be more selective and finish out my <$10 games before an old man pulls out his remaining hair.

As an older gentleman, what's the hardest part of playing online poker? Carpal tunnel? Poor eyesight? Too many young whipper-snappers with their sagging pants and internet lingo?

Let's start with $EV stabilizing, then worry about getting it back at some point down the road, lol.

It's frustrating as hell like it is for everyone, just gotta find ways to deal/maintain/continue to grind well. Usually scale things back a bit and get selective when the run-bad is this ugly, even if you've been playing fine to this point, it's hard to play well once you're that deep into getting ****ed.

Spent the last few days re-tooling my HUD again, so that's a nice positive. Don't know how other people are, but I have to play with a setup for awhile to see how easily I can process the stat positioning and what I actually end up using/not using. Been taking some notes on that for the past several months, so now my HUD set-up is a tad bit leaner & has a few new stats in I've been meaning to include.

If you make it down here Franklin, we can go see some "real" racing (dogs) at the iconic Caliente race-track in TJ. Don't know what your bearded Australian friends have you watching in the far reaches of Kentucky.

I pretty much plan being a lifer. It'd be a steady hobby if I didn't do it for a living. Think I could definitely play this high volume for another 10+ years.

It'd be nice for the "lifer" part to just mean 15-20 hours in my den/man-cave on regulated US sites part-time at some point in the future.

Having to constantly compete for your spot/job. You stop working/improving, there's dozens of young whippersnappers ready to knock you down the earning ladder. Usually us old people are allowed to fake it a bit without negative consequence.
