PT still overstating losses, assume SS is the accurate one, yada-yada. Is it 2015 yet?

Was expecting the games to be pretty bad this time of year (like always ), and it's certainly living up to that. Combining that with running gross, grosser and grossest this month, I'm bagging hitting any year-long targets, just for VPP's sake. Not going to be much $$ in it net (especially likely skipping the last 11 days when the games might be decent-to-good).

Think one of my better grinder qualities is slowing down when results are going bad (no matter how well you've played/think you've played to get to that point, it's very difficult to play anywhere near your best once you're in the ****).

I always keep too little online and bust my account with some frequency (probably ~20-25 times in the past 3 years) - helps put the brakes on/keep the ego in check. Fire small bullets back on, study more, play lower stakes/fewer tables, and make sure I'm on track before jumping back up into the higher-stakes heat.

So far, I've busto'd my account, used up all my Neteller bullets, plus 1 JDawg and (almost) 2 Ruseman bullets. That's pretty hard to do, lol.

The good news is that it makes near zero sense to play insane hours/shovel $$ in bad games the rest of the year. My process/volume was very good the first 9 months of the year and in line with my yearly VPP goals - only needing ~150k/month to hit 2 million VPPs. Feel pretty good with how I've played all year/handled everything, best thing to do is to be smart and adjust/reset my plan a bit.

Being still ~250k VPPs away...it just makes waaaay more sense to get another 100k+ VPPs between now and Dec. 21st, put in even more study than normal, look into a few other areas I normally neglect, etc., etc. Going to try to re-grind up the Stars roll/Neteller bullets, and be ready for the 2015 grind starting in mid-Jan.

And if this is any kind of payback for the Giants winning the World Series - have fun with your 60 win season next year guys while one old man runs hotter than the sun. You can win your 4th in 7 years in 2016.

Posted the graph b/c it says things better than words, but SS has it as -$162k which I think is more correct (would take some time to go back through BOP/Golden/RB and figure out an exact figure).

So only ~$180-185k? Hope that's at least close-to-big respect

Used to be able to get HM1/HM2/PT4 matching SS, but now when I load my hands from an external drive (onto my US-home computer), the green line gets more out-of-whack.

For 2 years before BF across 5 sites it was pretty much at $EV (with some pretty huge swings at various sites). Post-BF playing mainly hypers on Stars, it's not very pretty $-wise. But as far as buyins, I believe it's still only in the 3-figures - I'd have to reload a bunch of hands/merge databases to figure it all out exactly.

Think that redline in general is quite a bit less-than perfect, and there's some subtle/hidden biases that may or may not affect things in a significant way, but I'd still go with it >>> cev by quite a bit.

Though am ~265k below in cev this year in 6-max hypers, so that component is looking pretty ugly as well.

Ya, tough run this year Gramps. Much respect to stick it out and keep on the grind. How much do you think it affected your play? If you were honest with yourself, did you change up how you played at all?

Thanks for the well-wishes. I can do a summary post in a week+, but yeah, was a pretty rough year variance/result-wise. Actually feel quite good/take a lot of satisfaction from how I handled everything throughout the year, especially how it played out (runbad, claw the way out to more "normalish" results, then double-down on the runbad, etc.)

Don't think I play normal when running bad and worse, but feel one of my strengths is having good self-awareness of such (after a while ) - then being able/humble enough to drop down stakes/tables/volume/study more for a period, to eventually to crank it back up, rinse-and-repeat. Chasing losses at high stakes in (generally) bad games is a recipe for disaster IMO (much of the time, at least).

Looking forward to putting in a lot of improvement work in both technical and mental areas for 2015 - actually started already with a lot of that in December (figuring that was a much better investment of time than grinding in super-crap games with no big bonuses looming).

Likely going to be moving my US-location summer of '15, and not quite sure how the Mexico situation/other grind spots are going to work out yet, so may put my stuff in storage and move to TJ for 4-5 months and just grind heavy volume (in shorter sessions) the 1st half of 2015. Depends on several things, will have a better idea in the coming weeks after getting back from Brazil.

Another week+ til back on the grind, been working on some plans and structuring for 2015 and fricking itching to get going. Don't realize how much you miss the poker grind until you don't have it for a stretch.

Have decided to segment things into an 8 month period (i.e. end of August), since I'm likely moving by then, the games will probably turn to **** after that (if not before ;p) and Mexico may be closed off by then (if not before ).

Going to put more time into restructuring my process goals in-year (i.e. put in weekly work on that area), and keep the study/mental work at a high%, probably about 50/50 this year.
