My line might be superior. I would love love love for someone to show me that its not. Being able to change my context in a positive way whether it be in poker and any other aspect of life its the stone cold nutz imo.

So what i know for sure after being able to analyze my own online data base of millions of hands is that in an online setting 3! or folding are really your only 2 options in most cases. Defending heads up against a specific opponent might be meh but with the cold caller flating is out.

We have to make Two pair or better while someone flops and A as well, which doesnt happen very often and we nearly always have the worst of it in all cooler situations. You know how they Say PLOing makes you a better NL player, This is why, you are setting yourself up to get coolered, OOP.
Praying for a miracle flop, We be check folding a ton of flops. Struggle to get paid when we hit ect. A4o OOP in an muliway 5x pot, come on man, Position is still a thing.

Lets pretend we were playing an A4o prop game Against specific opponents, if you really want to win in this spot you could go for a post flop steal line, but in the absence of the prop if we are going to get stubborn against this guy why do it OOP. Not to mention you left most your FE at the door when you entered the casino.

Obv there is the question of how my experience transfers to from online to live poker. Having played professionally live for a few years Id say the transfer certainly isnt clean, as in 3! is off the table in 1/3 games usually cuz that guy that got squeezed with A10 usually wont fold if your in a decent game.

Positional win rates..blah blah im tired of typing

This is my experience.

Tough night of sleep 💤.

So I was thinking about this #moneyWall and don’t want adjust it w every session. I think I’m just gonna wait until we get back over 6k. If we don’t go bust prior to that.

After a big L last night, it wd b irresponsible of me not to start thinking of a plan. Funny, couple weeks ago, I was talking about retirement and just playing for fun. Now I’m 2 handful of buy-ins from Bust City. Not to mention one big hiccup away (like a truck break down) from being broke.

The plan is give 2/5nl one more session before I’m hv to self demote myself back to 1/2nl minors.

Any helpful thoughts wd b appreciated.

Gotta go to polish up on my 🕺. Big date tonight.

@Gator it was 2/5, so 3x.
It’s cheap pre to speculate imo. I can get away from A4, and if flop is golden (2pair+) I can get paid. I’m beating way more hands than losing to. Cooler 2 pair was unfortunate.

I hv to respect ur position in this though since u hv millions of hands/data to support your side. It’s something I’m gonna consider.

If it were me i would stick with 50bb buyins in good red chip games when they are found and as rake effect is diminished.

And possibly most importantly,
Polish it good and swing for the fences tonight. Good Luck!

I think your logic is perfect solid gator, but personally getting 5-1 on a hand I'm already committed a third of the bet, I'll probably just call then next $10 and see a flop. I think 3 betting is certainly an option, but can also be very villain dependent. You definitely have more exp than I do, so appreciate your opinion/thoughts.

Oh ok sorry Ray missed it was 2/5, regardless only thing I would add was then alot of times we have more FE unless you got yourself a good game, so would definitely be looking to 3! If possible. I'd be super careful with your spots tho since short rolled.

A few months back I remember bluffing half my roll in a 5/10nl game. Lost $4kish. Fast forward, and I am close to making the same br mistake.
When poker was my job, I practiced gd brm w 40buyin for my regular game. Now playing poker for fun, I threw all that out the window. #wegamble

Here we are...$4300roll...THE PLAN
One more sesh of 2/5nl tomorrow, and it’s either we stay or move down.
The plan is simple; if we win tomorrow we stay at 2/5nl and if we don’t, it’s self demote to 1/3 & 1/2.

2 day #truckLife tomorrow. Taking $800

2016
Attempted to go the whole month of March without talking. Lasted 8 days when I slipped and said, "Oh ****" while playing rummy with my daughter. #NTM led me into trading stocks where I started w $40k and went ran it down to $20k and then back up. Currently took $25k out of the market and have $18k left in the market. It was becoming stressful, so I thought o wd pull out some. Plus I'm getting closer to end of year plan and I can't afford to lose a big chunk of the stock $.
*Didn't put in a lot of hours on the poker table and ended the year $21,759.

2017
$40K Challenge: Attempt 2.
Try to make $40k playing 1/2nl only.
The challenge got cut short on August 22nd when I received a lifetime ban from all Harrah’s properties for vlogging on premises. At that time, I was on pace to achieve this challenge.
Sold my Melody 5 plex. Put that money, and poker money on a penny stock that made me some serious cash. Use that to pay off my mortgage.
Ban was eventually uplifted.

2018.
No debt. No mortgage. Owe tax man 5 figs for profits on ENPH stock and capital gains of Melody. = Little money left over.
Monthly expenses have been lowered, and trying to live a semi retired life. But w little money left over, it feels I’m still trying to survive.
#TSLA hunting #MoneyWall
Once we build a decent roll back, the shot takes and the gamble is coming. That is, if we don’t bust the short roll first.
Can I hang on?

I'm just guessing it's got to be close to $30/hour.

With that being said, a couple things to take into mind:

1. The game plays deep - much deeper than a regular $1/$2 game. Mississippi straddle and $300 OR half of big stack buy-in allows for lot of money moving around.

2. Rayz is probably one of the top 3 (if not higher) $1/$2 players in the room at any given time, so that helps LOL

Not sure lifetime @squidface, but last 5 years or so somewhere closer to $40. But like @tswpoker1 stated, can straddle from anywhere for any amount. I’ve seen many times $100+ straddles.

Leaving Cincy cause 2/5nl was having trouble staying full during the 4-5hr.
In for all my $500 that I took.
Out for...

Guess we still stay at 2/5nl for now. Onto the next stop, Columbus. *Short 2hrs from Cincy.
Saw on Bravo Hollywood Columbus has a cool high hand promo. Let’s try to get one.

I made the 90 min trek to HSI and made $750 plus a $500 promo bink in the $1/$2 game. The game plays huge for a $1/$2 game. I live near Cincy and hate their $1/$2 structure. Lots of good promos upcoming for NCAA. I hope you and I both run pure and get all of our rake back in these promos. GL BS.
