Yeah that story and tourney bink was pretty clutch it's inspirational tbh (no sarcasm), just crazy how things work but just because things are bad doesn't mean they can't get any worse and when things are good they never last

Rub.... These people that are telling you not to do this aren't haters or trolls. They have seen the downward spiral that happens to some of the most talented minds in the poker world. I have as well. I am not going to tell you to stop. I am going to tell you that you need to set a couple of short term goals. The first goal should be an hourly goal every week for playing 1/2. Make it obtainable and realistic. Leave time for life. The second should be to set an hourly goal for studying. You can also set a # of hand histories if that helps as well. If you are grinding 25nl on Ignition and playing live when you can, you are probably playing 15 hours a day. You can not continue at this rate. Play 12 hours of 1/2 live a day 5 days a week. Study 10 hours your off days. If you do this for a month, you will find the cushion you will need to separate your BR from your life roll. After 2 months, you will have enough to find an affordable place to live. After 6 months, you will be able to move up stakes. You can live your life the way you want but you need to write down a plan to get you there. I hope the best for you. GL

Pretty stupid of me to play but yes it did work out. So now that I’m here let’s do this right. Thanks for your comment

Thank you for this post. I agree with what you have said. I think the main thing for me is setting that hourly goal like you said. Thank you for your comment

Hey everyone just got back from playing a short 2.2hr session. Started at 12am little later than usual but that’s ok had a great time with my girlfriend. Table was very good today, had a lot of players splashing around. Game ended up dying and I need to be up by 9am so time for sleep.

Buy in: 200

Profit/loss: +260

I wrote down all the big pots I played. A little tired at the moment but will post them here later on. Goodnight everyone

Ok so I lost the notes from last night. Game was playing fairly loose. A lot of light call downs and kill pots. So here is a crazy hand I played last night.

2limps and a very aggressive old man makes it 23$On the BTn.. We look down at

KJ in the SB and we flat. The 2limpers flat as well.

Flop: (92$) AQ2 I check. 2 limpers check. Aggressive old man checks back.

Turn: 7 c/c/c/c

River T as I’m going to reach for chips, the 2 limpers check out of turn creating a reaction from the BTN he reaches for two blacks and throws them in. Now the dealer realizes that I have not checked. So then makes the old man take the 40 back.

I am now left with a decision do I bet or check and go for the C/R I decide to check he bets 40$ he has around 300 behind so I raise to 150$ he calls with TT. So we scoop that one

I’ll post some more hands later. Right now I am currently playing a session. From 1pm-6pm I bought in for 200 have about 630 as I’m typing this. A lot of interesting hands to discuss about this session lol. Talk soon everyone

For my general strategy I would be raising KJss+ From the SB vs the BTn. And flatting hands like KTss-K9ss. But vs this particular opponent I have seen him get OOL with hands like QJ and JTo therefore I find it better to flat KJss here and raise KQss and AKss. Flatting allows me to out play him post flop as I believe he is playing pretty straight forward. And I can dominate on J high flops and even on K high flops I could still be ahead vs his K8o-KTo which are hands he likes to bump it up in position with. So yeah that was my logic. In general I’m usually raising from the SB but mixing in a few flats that play well post and can make strong hands vs this villain range. Very player dependent play.

So for today’s day went pretty smoothly. i woke around 9am from playing last night from 12am-2am won about 260. Met up with Charmaine had some breakfast and went back to the casino at 1pm played till 6pm and won about 404

Today’s chip ending chip stack

Im currently here at the casino for another session got here at 11pm will play till 3am so I can get like 6hrs if sleep or so.

Feeling really good about my game at the moment. I have been putting in a lot of time in focusing at the table for the whole duration of the session. If I feel unfocused or anxious I leave and come back another day or later that night.

If you're serious about taking the path of a live pro I would seriously advice mixing in gym, eating healthier, trying to get a good sleeping pattern and just overall becoming very disciplined. Also being healthier really does help in poker especially live

Hey thanks for the comment! Yeah I use to play basketball all 4yrs for high school then a little in community college which was my source of workout. But definitely need to get back on the horse. Right now trying to figure out what works best. Maybe you can help me a little. 9am-11am I hang out with my GF. 1130am-2pm I study poker/ go to the park. 2pm-215pm I drop off my GF. 230pm-630pm play poker. 630pm-11pm GF 11pm-3am poker. That leaves 6hrs for sleep. Seems like I need to reduce GF time lol.

i've been with my gf (now fiance) for over 7 years, and I probably did a similar schedule when we were first together. Good luck trying to lower the time spent, though, some women are very attention needy.

Beatable is irrelevant dude. Micros are beatable, doesn't mean you can make a living from them.

two interesting hands that just happened back to back that I would like to share with you all.

Starts out with utg limps, Hero is in MP with A A makes it 12$, 2 callers, then the big blind shoves for 36$, UTG calls 36$, Hero raises to 90$ only UTG calls ( leaving himself with about 110$ behind)

Here where **** gets wild:

Flop: AT7 as I’m getting ready to decide what to do the dealer burn and turns a 9 realizing he just ****ed up they call the floor over. The floor makes a new turn card, I checked because my hand isn’t vulnerable to turn cards.

Turn: Q and guy open folds 99 **** LOL. I would have stacked his ass. I’m checking the AT7 flop with top set all day he turns a set and I get an extra 110$ but sigh...

River J guy who ripped 36$ had AK lmao!!!

So now I’m heated I take a breather and come back to this hand.

2 limps Hero has KK on the BTn and make it 16$, Sb flats 16$ 2 limpers call as well

Flop: of course KQ6 flop top set again, 1 of the limpers bets 13$, other limper folds, I call 13$ on the BTN and SB calls 13$

Turn 8d giving a flush draw check to me I bet 65$ SB makes the call , limper is all in for 40$

River 2s I shove Sb folds.

So up about 100$ at the moment. Was in for 300$ so we shall see how the rest of these two hours go. Just wanted to let y’all in on some fun hands today lol. Have a great day everyone

I would incorporate the GF time into the gym. I go to the gym with my wife and we enjoy that time together even though I hit the basketball court and she hits yoga.
